Anybody who watched all of Ted Cruz's far too long, rambling, overly flamboyant speech last nite would say that was his Howard Dean moment!

You know the difference between Cruz and Trump voters?
The average Trump voter knows how important this election is. If trump doesn’t win, we’ll support whoever the nominee is.
Cruz voters? Not what I’ve read here on FR. It’s Cruz or no one. In other words, if their guy doesn’t win, Hitlery or bernie the socialist are A-ok with them.

Which was my point they did not have the background stuff set up to capitalize right away. Then when they got there the election got away from them. All indication is that Cruz has the ground game, Santorum built to respond to that influx of cash, right now. Meaning he will not have to waste time and money building it.

I like Cruz, but thought his speech was bad, with little appeal to independents, and way too long.
Despite a couple of stumbles (he needs to talk slower), Rubio gave a better speech - even a bit moving at times - that was directed to the American people, not just conservatives.

"Well it was a cringeworthy speech and I like Cruz."
I like Cruz, too, but as he rambled on I began to compare his speech with Rubio's, which was far better, and I was thinking that 80-90% of independents - if all they saw were those two speeches - would be more drawn to Rubio than Cruz.

I like Cruz, but thought his speech was bad, with little appeal to independents, and way too long. I think everyone would agree that this was not Ted's best speech. I also know that by next week, very few people will remember any of the speeches given last night. So all in all, it will not have any impact on the race either way.

Maybe Cruz’s speech was a collection of soundbites to use in future political ads.

Yeah, I noticed from the photos that he put the Clintons in their place---as invited guests at his wedding.
Apparently the millions affected by the Trumponic Plague are fewer when it comes to voting than all those Establishment pollsters are predicting.
Trump has not begun to imagine the shit he is going to be taking if he does not clean up his mouth and his act. If mouth were $$$$$$, Trump would be worth trillions.
We pause now to pull out our prayer rugs for an hour of worship of THE WALL! They all talk big when they run. I shall believe it when I see it.
Insulting the sorry likes of Billy Jeff and the Arkansas Medusa is one of the biggest subjects that this country has to address. OK: They are the turds in America's punchbowl. One issue down as effectively as The Donald could do!
THE WALL: See above.
Stopping Muslim immigration. OK, I'll give that one as very important. Cruz would do that. Rubio would do that. Rand Paul would have done that. Just about any one of the candidates would do that, some by actual actions rather than merely going automouth.
