If he were to choose Cruz as vp, I would worry less about him straying due to simple ignorance.
He’ll figure it out. But it still worries me that he has this tendency.
Picking Cruz as vp early also makes them a team. As such, the establishment would have to defeat them as a team instead of one by one.
Agree with this....
A Trump/Cruz merger would help bring over the base to ensure a national mandate victory.
Trump has all the political bravado to inspire while Cruz has the detailed knowledge of the levers and processes to make things happen in the Congress...
However, I’m not sure Cruz could accept the VP slot, nor is he likely to be offered the spot now ; I know a VP gig is not possible for Trump....
He has that “tendency” because he simply isn’t a conservative.
That ship has sailed.
He has lambasted Cruz as not being eligible to hold office, certainly would not get a VP nom.
Anyway, doubtful Cruz would stand beside a liberal as a running mate... his principles matter to much to him.
Picking Cruz for VP would be a smart move but I predict he’ll pick Rubio.
He’s said too much about Cruz and I think that ship has not only sailed but disappeared over the horizon.
Although Cruz has continued to refrain from bashing Trump ... still has some nice things to say about him.
