WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Pentagon says it briefly lost contact with two small Navy craft in the Persian Gulf on Tuesday but has received assurances from Iran that the crew and vessels will be returned safely and promptly.
Pentagon spokesman Peter Cook tells The Associated Press that the boats were moving between Kuwait and Bahrain when the US lost contact with them.
Cook says, "We have been in contact with Iran and have received assurances that the crew and the vessels will be returned promptly."

Saw a report that said the 2 boats “entered Iranian waters” and were captured. How do 2 US Navy boats lose contact and enter Iranian waters? Unless SEALS, where they would mis-report the whole incident.

"these are now hostages"
Iran will likely pretend to be civilized, big kids and return them within 24hrs, which is about as fast as could be done if two Iranian Small Boats washed ashore on a US Island.
Or not.

They'll be returned, painted to look like the North Korean navy. Thanks Crazieman.

Obama officially has become Jimmy Carter Round 2!
At least Carter wasn’t ill intentioned toward the U.S. He was just incompetent.

Obama will blame our navy. Our 9 men and 1 woman. He will apologize. This country is boiling over with anger. He will pour water on a grease fire.

Let's see.. 10 U.S. sailors on 0dunga's SH!T list who are set up to be captured with Iran probably tipped off in advance by Iranian born Valerie Jarrett or some other traitor deep within the bowels of our military or administration.
Reminds me of the nearly 20 Navy SEALs who were sent on a suicide mission as their helicopter was blown to bits by AFGHANS ABOARD SAID HELICOPTER on 6 August 2011 (EXTORTION 17).

CNN reporting ten sailors arrested by Iran. This is serious crap.

Well, if the story is true, I think the Iranians are within their rights to take them into custody and find out what happened, why there were US naval personnel on their island. We certainly would do the same if the roles were reversed.
What the Iranans do next is up for grabs but, we shall see. If they are held as hostages, that is a whole different matter.
To: Crazieman
No worries, the pentagon has just announced Operation Hashtag to put the fear of social media in the Iranians..

I switched from Fox to CNN. At least Wolf Blitzer is covering this. He has Senator Tom Cotton on and the CNN reporter on security issues. I can’t believe Fox can’t react quickly to a big story like this and ditch the Five to report on this. Old enough to remember the Iranian hostages. God bless these sailors- prayers for them and their families.

Trump’s comments about this will be fun to watch. Loud, angry, threatening, yuge.
Cruz’s comments, on the other hand, may be less emotionally blusterous, but will be much more precise, much more practical, and consequently much more powerful and effective.

Not if they were dropped off or from a sub.

What kind of small boat could they take? Seals in inflatables? My first thought.

“Like in 444 days?”
373 days, 6 hours & 1 minute, make that 2 minutes for Trump or Cruz to repeat a Reagan following a week president.
