The “ Trump supporters only are behind him because they liked his TV show” cliche is used quite a bit.
I hated his TV show and didn’t care much for him.
When he started running and was so vocal in his plans and criticisms of Obama, the immigrant thing, the wall, and almost everything he said, I decided to support him.
By support, I mean I did support him if Cruz didn’t get the nomination.
This underhanded ploy against Cruz has soured me on him ... but I will, of course, support him if he gets the nomination.
