I think it was about proving Trump was bringing up a red herring. The only think it clears now is for Trump to go back to bashing people with a lot of name calling. However, when Cruz is elected, he will be magnanimous and make Trump his press secretary.

when Cruz is elected I'm sorry, but as much as I like and respect Cruz how is he going to be elected in a nation that voted for Obama twice?
