"For her own part, Melania has remained largely in the shadows of her husband's campaign. Even when she has joined him on the trailâor for interviews, like the couple's sit-down with Barbara Walters in Novemberâshe has been conspicuously quiet. That, Melania tells me, is all by design. "Because of who my husband is, and our life, and also he is number one in the pollsâwell, you take that all together, and people are very curious about me," she says in her soft, Slovenian accent, her voice set at the level of an aristocrat who knows she doesn't need to speak loudly to be heard. "I'm choosing not to go political in public because that is my husband's job. I'm very political in private life, and between me and my husband I know everything that is going on. I follow from A to Z," she affirms. "But I chose not to be on the campaign. I made that choice. I have my own mind. I am my own person, and I think my husband likes that about me."

The author (I guess Alex is a she), gets in some digs at Donald, but this seems like a pretty nice portrait of Melania overall.

Was just reading the spread in the latest Daily Mail. She is growing on me, very lovely and still modelesque at age 49.
I wonder if it is by accident or design. A real scoop. The issue will come out January 19. Iowa primaries start on February 1. Couple weeks to consider her loveliness in the White House.

With all the stinkbombs that so many have thrown at Trump, it’s good to see that his enemies are leaving his family alone.

Love this article, BAW! Thanks so much. Melania Trump is a lovely, graceful woman. That she is raising Barron without the assistance of a nanny is fantastic. But not surprising. Imagine having a first family like this- it seems like it’s been forever.

Melania Trump gazes out of her living room window over the gold tapestry of New York's Central Park.I didn't know Central Park had gold tapestry.
Seriously, though, I think the internet has killed off all editors and proofreaders.

I really liked this article. I got the calm, serene feeling that Melania reportedly brings to Trump’s life. She seems to be a calm, balanced person. And she isn’t going to let the media manipulate her. She just refused to answer questions that were clearly meant to trip her up. She would be a good First Lady.
