According to a criminal complaint, officers arrested Yuba County Sheriff Deputy Christopher M. Heath, along with 2 other men, driving across the country with 122 packages of marijuana. Each package weighed about a pound.

The trio was stopped on December 29 after police received a tip. All three were booked into York County Prison.

A bondsman, you put up 10% assets or more (depending on perceived flight risk) and they put up the difference. When you don’t show, they come looking and if it’s a million bucks they look hard...

I did a little math, and this pot was worth over a thousand dollars an ounce. IOW,the drug warriors are lying their asses off again.

Huh?? It says 122 pounds. 2 million divided by 122 equals 16,393.45/LB. I failed math after Geometry but this does not add up. Typical MSM BS. Maybe 350K worth.

$35/gram

That’s actually the correct street price at the lowest of the lowest level (high school dealers far outside major cities)

Basically, only when sold to kids in $5 and $10 bags can it possibly cost that much

Of course they were lying - their mouths were open.

$35/gram? 28 grams in an ounce?? $980 an OZ? Holy smokes! Many, many years ago it was $120 LOL

Well. You can still buy ounces for $120 but the cheapest stuff. Most of it will have seeds and be dry.

Good fresh seedless stuff is $200-250. The best gourmet stuff is $350-400

Kids and hoodrats in NYC these days pay around $20 for 0.7g of seedless.

So $35/g in rural PA for Cali buds is not beyond the imagination. However, very little of the pot seized would actually sell for that price in the end. Most adult smokers buy cheaper in bulk.

Of course there is government exaggeration here but I’m showing you how they “justify” these high numbers.

Thanks for doing the math. I know pot is really good these days, but $1,00.00 per oz, that seems high. LOL, no pun intended.

For 3 years, Heath was part of the Yuba County drug task force known as NET-5 which deals with illegal drug possession, manufacture and sales. His unit commander told The Appeal Democrat, Heath lead some 62 criminal marijuana cases.

Since Heath s arrest, the Yuba County District Attorney is investigating whether the cases he worked on were tainted. Meantime, Heath has been placed on paid administrative leave.

Looks like this guy had access to evidence, or maybe he just decided to go over to the dark side.

The money is tempting.

Another reason we have not won the War on Drugs, now in its 45th year.
