We believe that we can talk directly to GOD, if and when we so choose to do so. Neither do we believe that we have to "confess" to any human being and don't.
This is not a religion thread; stop hijacking it !
Just to clarify...if you re-read my post, I stated that Jesus is our intercessor.....this is how miscommunication occurs.
And if you re-read, James 5:16...it tells us that we need to confess our sins to one another, be it a priest or be it a friend.....but a priest is definitely not an intercessor.
A priest has legal protection for confession......a friend does not.
This is actually the point of a very interesting discussion.
