Is Marion Barry still alive? I guarantee he would win if he ran for Mayor of that place.
No, but exactly how would that stop him from winning a mayoral race in Chicago?
Didn`t he die of an overdose?
If so he would!
No, but i’ll bet he’s still voting.
Marion Barry?
He be dead. But still votes ‘RAT in every election.
Marion Shepilov Barry, Jr. (March 6, 1936 â November 23, 2014)
“Is Marion Barry still alive? I guarantee he would win if he ran for Mayor of that place.”
Barry died at United Medical Center in Washington, D.C., on November 23, 2014 from cardiac arrest, aged 78. Following three days of memorial observances, he was buried December 6 at Washington’s Congressional Cemetery.
Just in case you are in the area and need to relieve yourself, here’s where he was “laid to rest.”
From CNN, 2005...
In 1990, the FBI busted Washington, D.C., Mayor Marion Barry for crack cocaine. Today, the 68-year-old self-proclaimed "mayor for life" is back in politics, serving on the D.C. City Council. ...
In January 1990 Barry's political reign came to an abrupt halt when he was caught on video in an FBI sting operation smoking crack cocaine with a woman at the Vista Hotel. The incident -- played over and over on cable television -- produced what is perhaps the most memorable quote of Barry's long career: "The bitch set me up."

An Example Waiting to Be Made

Should Marion Barry go to jail for failing -- yet again -- to file his tax returns?
His last stint in the clink didn't seem to have much of an impact on the former mayor. As recently as 2005, he tested positive for marijuana and cocaine use. And in 2002, U.S. Park Police said they found crack cocaine and pot in Barry's Jaguar.

Marion Barry is dead, and I don’t think he could have won a Mayoral election in any city that wasn’t supermajority Black (as DC was in his day, apparently it’s down to 50% Black now, a major shift, I had no idea), certainly not Chicago, the people with money and power would have never backed him.
I also don’t think Rahm is in much trouble, he’s freshly reelected. If BLM thinks they can browbeat him into resigning like he’s Trent Lott, they have another thing coming. Rahm is seasoned political mobster.
