87 percent of Germans see climate change as a threat to humans and nature, according to an online survey by research institute YouGov this week.

But should oil and coal prices be raised to pay for the damage caused by climate change?

Of the 2,048 Germans surveyed, less than half were in favor of this idea.

Just 39 percent of Germans make an effort to save electricity, the survey found - while just 22 percent of respondents said they have reduced their car travel to lessen their impact on the climate. ...

Third world. If they don’t have a “Bill of Rights” they will never advance beyond Third World. All of the EU countries have “thought crimes” (anti first amendment), banning of firearms except for terrorists, criminals and gov’t agencies (anti second amendment) and so on through the list of rights.

So what defines a step above the Third World into the Second World is merely the existence of bills of rights?

The USSR’s (second world) “rights” were always in the context of “the interests of the working people” as defined arbitrarily by the CPSU.

• Fundamental rights and duties of citizens, from 1936 constitution
• Basic rights, freedoms and duties of citizens, from 1977 constitution

Now even the EU has its Charter of Fundamental Rights, but also in a similar second-world context, as all mock bills of rights are. They do take it a step further:

Any limitation on the exercise of the rights and freedoms recognised by this Charter must be provided for by law and respect the essence of those rights and freedoms. Subject to the principle of proportionality, limitations may be made only if they are necessary and genuinely meet objectives of general interest recognized by the Union or the need to protect the rights and freedoms of others.

Article 52 Section 1 blatantly nullifies the entire document, just as mentions of “the interests of the working class/people” nullifies all the rights in the USSR constitutions. Characteristic of second world.
