If we are going to be accurate:

Rowser's Ford, where, as an official historical marker notes, Gen. J. E. B. Stuart led 5,000 Confederate troops including cavalry across the Potomac en route to the Battle of Gettysburg. Stuart though arrived too late to do any good.

Trump built a golf course at Rowser's Ford? I know the site from the Maryland side (near Violette's Lock), where it is protected by the C&O Canal National Park. I'm not familiar with the Virginia approaches. I'm assuming the golf course would be atop the bluffs on the VA side, as the Potomac is prone to serious flooding.

Incredible as it may seem, there are still residents in Northern Virginia who must travel more than 500 yards to find a 7-11, and a full size shopping mall can often be two or more miles away. Loudoun and Fairfax counties are still addressing their critical mall shortage. A golf course is probably as close to open space and wildlife habitat as the area will tolerate.
