I am convinced that the obvious decline in America's moral fabric that has taken place over the span of the last 7 years can be almost totally attributed to the demon-inspired, hate-filled, Christ-hating false religion that Obama so obviously worships. The damage that Obama's Islamic regime has wrought on formerly Christian America may be irreversible, and almost certainly will be if another false "Christian" is elected. I'm not saying that Mr. Trump or any other GOP candidate is not a true bible believing Christian, but I'm as sure as anyone can be in this type situation that Senator Cruz's Christianity is the real deal, and my belief in the authenticity of his Christianity is at least partly due to the Christian witness of his father.
I have seen and heard the senior Mr. Cruz give witness to his and his son's Christian beliefs, and I'm as sure as anyone can be at a distance that if elected Cruz would be a born again Christian president like RR was. Not a for-show-only false "Christian" as so many politicians are during campaign season, but a truly born again child of God like I believe Ronald Reagan was.
EXACTLY... I’ve said pretty much the same many times, it is clear Cruz knows what he is doing, he knows how to act like a Man, like a Senator and like a President all the time regardless of circumstance, he sets the example for others to follow, I have said many negative things about Trump but now by the example of Ted Cruz I post on every thread the following:
CRUZ 2016... with great Respect and Appreciation for Donald Trump!
2x
It's important that the next president be a good strategist.
And, it's important for him to know where to look to find wisdom re: strategy. Cruz obviously does.
Don't worry, on Sept. 3, just three months ago, Trump signed a pledge not to run as 3rd party!
Besides, if it was Trump losing, it would probably be because the GOP treated him unfairly. But no worries, when Trump signed the pledge, there were ZERO qualifiers, ZERO "unless" or "only ifs" in the agreement or the conversation at the time.
Except ... a few days ago, facing reporters asking him questions of rumors of a GOP guerrilla campaign to knock him out of the race, someone asked if he'd reconsider that pledge in the face of this new threat.
Among other things, he said: "I will see what happens. I have to be treated fairly. You know, when I did this, I said I have to be treated fairly. If I'm treated fairly, I'm fine. All I want to do is a level playing field."
Hmmmmmmm ... I guess he just forgot to include anything about being treated "fairly," and what constitutes "fair," in the contract he signed or in the statements he made to the press at the time. Or else they just didn't report it. Gosh, I wonder ..... probably just another instance of Trump being treated unfairly by the media or somebody. *rolls eyes*
Trump's word is worth SPIT. Right there in plain straight-talking English.
There's a thread on FR about this story where Trump fans are praising him for his putting it on the line and saying the GOP better treat him "fairly"! Or else!!
Trump supporters are for the most part my beloved friends, relatives, and many respected and even beloved fellow FReepers. They to be shown the handwriting on the wall with kindness, patience, diligence, and love. It's a dirty job ... somebody's got to do it.
One of the reasons I post this stuff here so that if any who stand with me but don't really have time to do the searching, come across FReeper threads in need of a little hard, straight truth with links to prove it, they can easily and quickly access them.
Cripplecreek is often great for providing links and I appreciate it so much that I'm taking his/her lead. So I refer folks here, to save them time, to my posts in-forum with links of other handwritings on the wall of what Trump actually IS, a patriotic self-promoted celebrity showman entertainer who branded image is "brilliant businessman." In actual billionaire ranks, he's barely fair-to-middling as a real estate mogul/investor. My mission is to help our fellow patriots see the handwriting about Trump as it gets more and more obvious.
But the handwriting IS ON THE WALL, good grief!
Cruz to victory and liberty.
I don’t think Trump will run third party, maybe if Bush is the nominee, but if Cruz gets the nod I think he stays out of it and throws his support Cruz’s way.
With respect, I see exactly ZIP in anything about Trump that indicates he has any preference for Cruz over any of the other candidates. He says many things, and his word is as mercurial as the financial markets Trump is so good at profiting by.
They to be shown the handwriting on the wall with kindness, patience, diligence, and love. It’s a dirty job ... somebody’s got to do it. “
Complete and total waste of time. They want what they want and damn the consequences to America. So we will have a repeat of 12 and then actual conservatives will again be blamed for not siding with lesser evil.
Some people need to learn the hard way but after the past 3 elections, some people simply don’t want to learn at all.
Trump has had at least 10 years, more like 15, of steady solid polished marketing to craft his image of Brilliant Businessman Solve-Anything Genius Billionaire American Patriot. They will vote for a brand they believe in, none of this "lesser evil" stuff!
Romney was a weenie with zero image or brand except super fuzzy "Repubican." Trump is a talented showman and self-promoter whose brand image was established before he decided to run for President. People are comfortable with brand images they "trust."
People who refused to vote for Romney, will be okay with voting for Trump because they're voting for the trusted brand that's been cultivated for 10-15 years in media and marketing.
He’s a pathological truth molester.
LOLOLOL!!! {^)
“I have to be treated fairly.” Well, it is all about him, isn’t it?/S
The other day someone posted a bunch of Trump’s tweets, and most of them were about someone or some organization who was being mean to him/treating him badly/being unfair to him. See, he knows his audience. He understands that he can whip his devoted fans up into a state of outrage that way.
Even if I stretch my imagination to its limits, I cannot see Cruz behaving in such an embarrassing manner.
And, Finny, I agree that I don’t think Trump has any special regard for Cruz, nor is there any alliance between the two of them (Cruz has said there isn’t).
Very recently Trump said he would attack Cruz if necessary. didn’t he? Which is not surprising, since they’re both running for the same office. But if he attempts it, he’s going to be so outclassed intellectually that he’ll be taken down.
Like you, I don’t see Trump throwing support to Cruz. Trump has a liberal history, and Ted is his polar opposite.
“People who refused to vote for Romney, will be okay with voting for Trump because they’re voting for the trusted brand that’s been cultivated for 10-15 years in media and marketing. “
No, they will vote for anyone they ‘feel’ good about because once you vote for a guy as outright evil Romney you have nowhere to go but up. Thus, ‘lesser evil’.
If people actually wanted a conservative in government, they would vote for one, not play another round of justifying ‘good enough’.
Thank you. We’re beyond trying to argue with lefties. The battle now is between conservatives.
I'm thankful there are those capable of making their case with these qualities. I agree it's needed.
The handwriting is on the wall. And you are quite right, my friend, it’s a long process to help people see it.
But Donald Trump is nobody’s conservative. He is a Republican purely because he says he is. The man’s principles are for sale, he’s a known Democrat and Clinton donor, and it’s going to take time and patience to get that message across.
Hope you are having a good day.
ANYWAY, the guy more successful than Trump is a Republican, and for the past few years at least, donated heavily to Romney and Boehner, among other Republicans. He's also a believer of the "green" myth, that we're "saving the planet" by being "environmentally conscious." And he's a very powerful Republican, a billionaire genius businessman that puts Trump to shame. He just prefers to stay in the background.
So ... it always comes down to the same thing.
The Republican party is the WRONG PARTY. It is functionally the Democrat party.
The Republican party has left us. Conservatives, Constitutional limited government Christian conservatives, need to establish a second party where we stand. The Republican party is out in left field with the Democrats.
The GOP is playing a role. That role is to give the illusion of choice. Since 12, Republicans have consistantly said X and done Y right along with Dems. All the vote manipulation in DC results in Dem wins on every big issue.
Anyone that argues against that reality is simply a propagandist or an outright liar. The facts are in evidence for all to see.
Problem being, some choose not to see. They live in a childlike world, much like liberals where only positive reinforcement matters. “Winning” regardless of what you win with being a primary example. Claiming conservatism while supporting moderates is another.
Conservatism needs as big an enema as the GOP.
Perfect summation of just how dire the situation is.
