Donald Trump on Wednesday defended his immigration proposal after being pressed repeatedly for details on how exactly he would deport millions of illegal immigrants, saying it was doable and "cheap."
"We're going to have a deportation force, and you're going to do it humanely," Trump told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" in an exclusive interview, arguing that he would deport people with a policy similar to the one former President Dwight Eisenhower used to deport 1.5 million by the busload, dropping the immigrants off at remote parts of the border.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush pushed hard against Trump's proposals in Tuesday's fourth Republican presidential debate, saying, "12 million illegal immigrants - to send them back 500,000 a month is just not possible, and it's not embracing American values and it would tear communities apart."

Illegals should be deported. It's what the law demands.
Where there is a will, there is a way.
The same Democrat media that whines about the inhumanity of forced deportation uttered not a peep when Elian Gonzalez was kidnapped from his relatives in Florida by Bill Clinton and Janet Reno and sent back to Cuba. That was A-OK in spite of the fact that that six year old had never broken the law either.
Trump needs to learn what is in his own immigration position paper, the best ever written for a Presidential candidate. There are other alternatives to a blanket amnesty or mass deportation. Attrition thru enforcement works. Once we shut off the job magnet and government benefits, most of the the illegals will leave voluntarily.
Illegals should be deported. It's what the law demands.
The law also demands that those being deported are entitled to a hearing or hearings before an immigration court judge. There are only about 300 of them. Three hundred judges and eleven million illegals. Do the math.
We only have to deport the ones committing crimes. The rest will self deport when they are no longer able to work or get benefits. It’s not nearly as hard as it sounds.
In my prior life, I spent a good deal of time in the late 60s at INS reviewing alien files as a part of the security screening afforded all aliens and naturalized citizens who were in the army. Besides maintaining huge files on each of them, they required each alien fill out a form the first of each January which stated where they were residing. The deportation process was working well too and frequently agents would go out and do “alien sweeps” and if they found those who over stayed visas or lied on applications or whatever, they would begin the deportation process. Frankly it seemed to work well. I don’t know why this was stopped after the early 70s but it should begin in earnest again.
Totally agree...
And this vision of storm troopers bashing down doors to take people away is nonsense and a straw man...
You deport after an arrest, you don’t hire or fine those who do, no signs in Spanish, no voting, etc...they go so far into the “shadows” they can’t function here...enforce the laws...
“Deportation Force” could get very ugly. We’ve got MS-13, Cholos Locos, and all kinds of gangs ready to go to war against the American people.
Maybe this sort of pushback from Americans is what the elites wanted?
Then maybe that law should be changed. Why should an illegal immigrant be entitled to a hearing. If he is here illegally why should he have any entitlements at all. The only time a hearing should be afforded is if there is some question about his citizenship.
After the first couple hundred thousand are booted out, the remainder will quickly get the message just as they did in the Eisenhower era and start packing. We can even sweeten the pot by providing transportation, box lunches and even small cash payments (payable at their nearest U.S. Consulate 90 days after they arrive home) for those who opt to waive their rights to a hearing. Start with, say, $1000 per person and ratchet it down as each quota is filled.
As for the old saw " . . . it would tear communities apart", the reality is that it would actually build communities in their countries of origin, reunite families and move people from overcrowded congested areas like Los Angeles to underdeveloped places like Mexico, which has roughly the same population density as Tennessee.
I guess you are right everything is impossible let’s just give up.
Actually, that method will lead to the enemedia going into the Mexican border towns, and showcasing the "strains" on their budgets, towns, people, systems, and so on (as opposed to their *not* showcasing the strains on the US system while the criminaliens are here). Much better to just set up the conditions for self-deportation. No bennies, no jobs. They'll use what's left of their resources, or scrounge, and hop back from whence they came. Save the busloads for later, after the bulk have self-deported. If the ride back is via taxpayer-funded buses, these folks can never come back. Those that self-deport may do so.
Jeb had a father as POTUS; he had a brother as POTUS, if these things mattered so much, why didn’t Jeb’s father and brother do something about the immigration problem?
Oh yeah, I forgot, the Bush Clan is all for supporting the illegal aliens.....
Hearings only apply to Central Americans, not Mexicans.
Why did NOBODY mention E-Verify and the resulting SELF-DEPORTATION?!?!??!?
If you can’t get a job without passing E-Verify, and employers are fined for violations, then illegals will LEAVE!!
100% spot on . . . to which I'd add no bennies for non-citizens or legal aliens beyond emergency medical care and paddy wagons at various street demonstrations to economize the time between waiting for regular arrests and self-deportations. IOW, a similar (but still far more humane) reflection of how Mexico handles their illegal aliens.
So as soon as a person sets one foot across our border they are entitled to a hearing. The law also says we have to provide healthcare, food, education to them also. So, according to you, that means we have to just sit back and let these millions of invaders bankrupt our country because it’s the law. After the bankruptcy and fall of our country, then what do you believe the solution is, following the law and doing the math of course?
True, but just three countries in Central America (Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador) are sending us almost as many illegals as Mexico.
The solution is in post #12.
