Last week, the "welfare and diversity officer" at Goldsmiths College in London was charged with sending an offensive message. Bahar Mustafa, 28, had posted a Tweet with the hashtag #KillAllWhiteMen.
As so often, the police couldn't tell the difference between between a repugnant remark and an incitement to violence, and Ms. Mustafa will appear before magistrates next month.
Now Ms. Mustafa comes across as a pretty unsympathetic character. She caused a fuss earlier this year when she banned men and white women from a student union event. "If you've been invited and you're a man and/or white PLEASE DON'T COME," she ordered. The declared purpose of the event? To discuss, er, diversity.
She also appears to be — I'm afraid there is no way of putting this gently — rather stupid....

It has to be specific. Saying kill “the white guy” in a room where there is one white guy could be considered a threat.
A general statement without the ability to carry it out is not actionable, unless it’s about the President.

Is it criminal? The author says it is not. Bad headline. Better: should people be prosecuted to chill otherwise permissible speech?

I know that, well at least that used to be the case anyway. Maybe you haven’t noticed yet that the Brown Shirts and Magic Blue Costume folks Don’t Give a DAMN about us peasants and certainly not the law.

That ‘man’ is really not a ‘man’. It’s a Catlyn or a transmission, or a ???
That BlackLivesMatter terrorist who tweeted about killing all the white people in his town (LaPlanta?) tonight after the Baltimore riots I believe was arrested and held on something like 200,000 bail. How actionable it is hard to say, but it was certainly specific and given the context could easily have generated a flash mob to take down a few more officers.
Oh, how silly. Of course it isn’t. Now, substituting “white” with any other race is definitely a high crime.
Easy answer, tweet “Kill all black men.” and see what happens.
That tweet would be almost as bad as one denying climate change.
Inciting to violence against anyone should be.
Simple reply” Is it a criminal act to say Kill all the Black Men”?
If so, yes it is.
Unless in the course of legal proceedings or acceptable actions, examples: self defense or defense of vulnerable third parties, capital punishment cases, wartime actions.. but lefties just can`t get it.
