I know a lesbian couple that get REALLY mad when there is the slightest confusion over their identity. They have three kids.
“So which one of you is the mom?”
“Which ONE!!!?? We are BOTH their MOMS! Where does it say a child can’t have more than one mom!! Why do you people always assume that a family has to have a mom AND a dad!!! I can’t believe in this day and age.......”
I LOVE IT. Next question, “Which one of you is the DAD.”
“Don’t need one.”
“Ah, got it. So you are saying that men can do the same job as women in terms of parenting right? After all, your homosexual brothers are going to be upset if you tell them they need a maternal influence in their families, but y’all don’t need a paternal influence in yours.”
” . . . “
In the etymology of the word. "Mom" is derived from "mamma" which is a root for "mammary" and for "mammals", meaning those animals groups in which the females provide milk for their young.
The very meaning of the word generally connotes that there is only one "Mom." Unless both women are suckling the babies, both of them cannot be "mom." If both are suckling the babes, then the proper conjugate is "Mams".

My eighth grade biology text book?
Will the real Mom stand up? Well all I can say is that if there ever was a time for some good old fashion house sweeping and rolling pin discipline in the White House and Supreme Court, it is now!
I choose not to associate with people like that.
They don’t have three kids. They are pretending to have three kids. I feel bad for the children.
