Amateur video posted on the internet appears to confirm reports of Russian air strikes in Syria, as aftermath footage emerged from Homs and Hama provinces showing alleged air strikes carried out by Russian forces. One clip appears to show a thick plume of smoke rising from an area near a mosque in Talbiseh in Homs -- said to have been targeted by Russian air strikes. Lattamna in Hama was also targeted by Russian air strikes, according to a clip that purports to show footage of Russian planes flying overhead. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
33 deaths is hardly ‘mass devastation’.
Right or wrong, Putie is showing leadership while our boy plays golf.
Lets hope they’re compassionate like the U.S. and don’t hit any Mosques.
Empty Vodka bottles everywhere ?
We shall see how the Russians fare but this half baked McCain-Obama-Al Quaeda and others coalition has achieved very little in their ‘war’.
Maybe the Russians will show them how to really wage a war?
War is not a good thing, but sometimes the last and only option.
That Putin guy knows his shock and awe,
Putin’s been getting the Russian armed forces as much practice as possible in advance of taking on the new obamatron military.
Wait till the Russians go in on the ground. They won’t f about, any resistance will be met without hesitation overwhelmingly lethal force.
Oh dear, Newsmax, Reuters and the rest of the lamestream media certainly have received a painful wedgie from the new Crusaders.
Russia’s precision strike ability compares to the USA in the 1980s. They solve the issue with massive firepower and wanton destruction with cheap weapons.
They have arguably a stronger approach in this circumstance.
It doesn’t take a “Nostradamus” to see where this is going. Before this is over, Iran, with Russian and Chinese support, will invade Saudi Arabia and seize the Saudi oil fields.
Quick, somebody brief Russia on the ROE before too many people get hurt........ /S
BEIRUT Russia has conducted its first airstrikes in Syria after Moscow received formal parliamentary approval to conduct military operations in the war-torn country.
Russias Defense Ministry confirmed Wednesday afternoon that the countrys air force had begun airstrikes on the Islamic State positions in Syria.
The statement came after pro-rebel All4Syria outlet reported in the morning that Russian jets had conducted raids early Wednesday in the village of Zafarana north of Homs as well as near the town of Lataminah northwest of Hama, neither of which are ISIS strongholds.
A number of other activist websites also ran stories on the strikes, which allegedly targeted not only Lataminah and Zafarana, but also a number of other rebel-held towns north of Homs.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that at least 27 people, including five women and six children, had been killed in airstrikes on areas in the Homs towns of Rastan, Talbisa and Zafarana, while videos circulated purporting to show the aftermaths of the raids. ...
There are three groups of people fighting in Syria:
1. Forces loyal to al-Assad.
2. Forces loyal to the Caliph.
3. Other forces.
The Russians are in the first group. ISIS and its subsidiaries are in the second group. The third group consists of other thugs who want to replace al-Assad with their own brand of Mohham-madman thuggery.
I say let them kill each other off. The higher the body count, the better a place Syria will be.
a doctor in the town of Rastan, speaking from one of the areas targeted by the jets.
It can’t have been that awesome, he survived.
Let’s hope none of our guys were caught up in them.
