The National Police Association endorses Ted Cruz for
President, 2016. Senator Ted Cruz recognizes that “Police are under assault right now at an unprecedented level.”
Cruz went on the record in support of law enforcement officers across the country. “The violence we’re seeing directed against law enforcement is a direct manifestation of the harsh rhetoric and the vilification of police officers and law enforcement that sadly has come all the way from the top,” Cruz said.

My best guess is because that is the candidate that the liberals and the media want for us?
We the people, need a staunch conservative, not a billionaire windbag.

Law enforcement long ago got in bed with the feds in both ideology and methods. They have accepted military weapons, military vehicles, military training, military surveilance technology and on and on.
Police chiefs and all higher levels of law enforcement have fully supported the polices of the left including gun control, increase of police powers, laws that prevent video or other documentation of police activties. Surveilance cameras everywhere, license plate readers, Red light cameras. In fact, there seems to be no end to the lust for police power over civilians. I ask you what "tool" would law enforcment EVER turn down? One state has even legalized weaponized police drones, passed by lobbyists who's sole job is to increase police power.
Now, all the sudden the central government no longer has a use for unlimited local police power and are now actively undermining them. The feds now want to centralize police power so the useful idiots of local law enforcement are no longer useful.
So in a nutshell the police have brought this on themselves by getting in bed with the left and thereby using the same intimidation polices that have led to incidents the race baiters now use against them.
The answer is for law enforcement to STOP being law enforecment. Get rid of the central government police state mentality of power and intimidation and go back to being peace officers serving the community that employs them. Get rid of the military weapons, the swat teams, the armored vehicles, the military uniforms, the military kevlar helmets, put on a nice peace officer blue uniform, a badge, a handgun and a radio and go protect and serve.

The deputy assigned to my little township says this is a prized assignment because he can turn his back on us without worry.
I suspect that the National Police Association doesn’t exist beyond a Facebook page and a website that doesn’t appear to have been updated since 2011, so not so much a BIGGIE.

In this race there are many Hares, Cruz is the turtle just Cruzing in the middle of pack, gradually acquiring momentum waiting while the others grow weary and tiresome, never really able to determine who they are and what they believe constantly changing, testing strategy, tactics and belief systems.
Cruz is a life long conservative he has always been on the right side, conservatism is in his heart, head and DNA, he will win because he knows where and what the goal is, “the restoration of our Constitutional Free Republic”.
Slowly, but surely,the idea of a President Cruz is gaining traction. Love it!
Because the MSM loves him. Oh they'll scream and whine about what an EEEVIL CONSERVATIVE he is, and give him hours of free airtime with glee.
It's a twofer: starving genuine conservatives of oxygen while maligning everything for which we stand.

Looking at their web page, my guess is that this charity consists of a single person with an impressive sounding charity. That’s it.
