In Senator Ted Cruzs excellent Senate floor speech against President Obamas catastrophic Iran deal, he urged Republican leadership Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) and House Speaker John Boehner (R., Ohio) to reject the claim that Congress must vote on the deal in the next few days. He is absolutely right. By the unambiguous terms of the Corker law, the period for congressional review of the Iran deal has never begun because Obama has failed to provide the entirety of it.

By voting for exactly what they wanted.
VinL, good grief...
That’s absolutely right. Now watch and learn.
There are 42 Democrats in the Senate. Do you think it will be hard to get 34 to vote with Obama?
Those funds are going to be approved just like the nuclear deal will, but a 1/3rd Senate approval instead of the 2/3rds Senate hurdle.
That’s a big win in your book?
Not mine.
There are 42 Democrats in the Senate.
Think Obama can get 34 votes to approve of the $150 billion funding and nuclear agreement?
How a supposedly Conservative Republican couldn’t figure that out is beyond me.
Why not try to build up a Demcorat majority then since that’s how you strengthen Conservatism (according to some people)..., voting for Leftist policy.
Think Obama can get 34 votes to approve of the $150 billion funding and nuclear agreement?
*************
I’m sorry, I really don’t understand that point. Please explain it to me.
The central issue of this discussion, and you need it to be explained to you.
Yes, please explain what you mean. You’re saying if he gets 34 dem votes, he gets 150B? I REALLY don’t know what you mean.
The vote on the Corker bill flipped the votes needed to approve of Obama’s Iran deal from 2/3rds having to agree, to only 1/3rd having to agree.
It’s why I’ve been against that vote.
Not 67 but just 34 votes necessary. That’s what the big hoopla in the media has been about. Here:

I really don’t want to belabor this with you, but I have to be honest...I just do not understand you. You seem to be fixated on something that is easily explained to those who want to have an open mind. I’m not as pure as you.
Thanks for the exchange.
Right- that I understood- it’s a non-issue- treaty or executive agreement, meaningless to a lawless president— which is the foundational problem.
BUT, as to your basic point, it will never get that far. Obama has his secret agreement with IAEI- As Cruz has pointed out and codified in a Resolution, the IAEI must be disclosed before the 60 day period starts ticking.
McConnell and Boehner have the votes to enforce that portion of the agreement.
No Maris, it is easily excused. It isn’t easily explained. I’ve had guy spending hours trying, but not accomplishing the task.
Actually they don’t. The Democrats came up with the 42 votes to block.
One more reason to simply vote against a bad bill.
This guy explains it fully- I’m sure you’ll understand it.
You can vote against a bad agreement, or you can turn that agreement against the drafters— Cruz understood that—
The guy’s a genius.
Oh, i see on another thread you’re a Trump supporter. Great. I doubt he called Carli ugly— doesn’t sound like something he would say.
I’m out for tonight.
Me too. More of the same. Not buying it.
Have a good one.
It’s all moot,Obama went to the UN,declared victory, the UN has lifted all sanctions, all Europe is already in Tehran making business deals, our sanctions mean nothing.
Stop worrying, learn to love the bomb,we will all be meeting Iran’s,North Korea’s,China’s,Russians little friends soon enough
Dude... you’re still spamming me.
Please take me off your ping list.
They can only claim it's a ploy if they attempt to bring the bill back.
They don't have Mason's Rules in a dictatorship.
I know. What a complete, utter waste of human skin. What is it with TN and RINO Republicans anyway?
They don’t have to call the bill back. They can simply say things didn’t work out.
