Every day something new, something that has to be excused, explained away rationalized or unwanted attention to be distracted by attacking the messenger.

I don't hate Trump, I hate willful self-deception and reckless wishful thinking. Either Trump speaks his mind regardless of the politically correct consequences or he is trimming for media consumption. Which is the real Donald Trump?

The truth is both are the real Donald Trump, and we have no idea who the.real Donald Trump will be from day-to-day. One day he's going to let in refugees and the next day he's going to send them all packing. One day he's for a partial term abortion and the next day he's not but he still wants to fund Planned Parenthood. One day he's a Democrat another day he's a Republican.

Ad hoc!

Donald Trump operates out of ego, whatever strikes his fancy at the moment. This is the real indictment of not being a true conservative, the indictment is that Donald Trump will run the country out of his own ego. Today all the faithful are holding on in desperation to the believe the Donald Trump will deal with immigration. But will he do so tomorrow?

IMO, Trump has a strategy to not get pulled into the quicksand on polarizing sidebar issues. So from Trump sometimes we get mush and Rand Paul style playing both sides of the issue not to PO anybody.

He’s staked his campaign on immigration and trade. That will be the focus.

Four years ago, Trump toyed with running, and he described what he thought the problems were then, in exactly the same way he does now. I don’t believe he mentioned immigration, but I may have missed it. He has been consistent on everything else.

His change on abortion parallels exactly the same experience an acquaintance described to me about 15 years ago, except in this case it was his own child he wanted to abort, but didn’t. The thought now torments him.

I read the full quote provided on this site. I can’t detect any change in his immigration stance. Maybe you can show us where he waffled. He kept qualifying: “possibly, but we need to fix our own problems” etc. If you were on a job interview, and the employer said “possibly, but...” would you feel good about the interview?

No, it is not everyday that something new has to be excused. It is everyday that people create something in their mind about Trump to be offended about or to try and distort.
