Trump, After Republican Pledge, Breaks From Pack On Iran, Gay Marriage By Susan Heavey. WASHINGTON - Leading Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Friday broke away from stances held by many of his rivals on issues ranging from the Iran nuclear deal to the gay marriage fight in Kentucky.
Trump's statements in a lengthy interview on MSNBC came one day after signing the party's loyalty pledge.
He called the Iran nuclear agreement "a disastrous deal" and "a horrible contract," but said he would work with it.
Many of the 16 other Republicans seeking the party's nomination for the 2016 presidential election have vowed to immediately undo the Obama administration's agreement if they win office. But Trump, a wealthy businessman, reiterated his view that too much money was at stake and his rivals were wrong to say they would rip it up.
"This is the perfect example of taking over a bad contract," he said, adding that he would be tough in enforcing it.
Closer to home, Trump also eschewed rivals on the Kentucky battle over gay marriage. Some Republicans loudly backed Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis, who opted for jail time rather than issue any marriage licenses following the U.S. Supreme Court's June ruling in support of gay marriage.
"We are a nation of laws," Trump said. "The decision's been made, and that's the law of the land."

Ughh..wrong answers.
Trump is beginning to change my mind about Trump. My inclination is to support him because the guy is infuriating all the right people. But I’m starting to get my bearings. Instead of looking at them, I’m beginning to look at him.
It’s exactly what alot of the same people were saying about justice Roberts. Declaring that Obama care was legal was a brilliant strategy that we were all to stupid to see and he would fix it all later.
...”dont expect the Trump haters to care”...
There are very few Trump haters on this site....rather there are those who have some very real concerns about Trump and they have the right to express those here...and vet Trump who BTW is still not clear about much of what he now claims...and he is shifting.
Trump said ...”You have to be flexible”....he’s showing that clearly.
Defeatist bilge water. No one can predict the outcome of these dark days and perilous times. You sound as if you prefer pastels to bold colors.
Bold colors and a clear trumpet call is needed. Stop honking the kazoo
Yea...I did that too a while ago....it’s been fun riding his train but that “thrill” gets old as the tracks keep repeating the same tune.... as any ride does.
Time comes when we get off the ride and look at where we’re really at in regards to the Presidential candidates....Lots of things I like about the Trump personality...but I am not a personality voter....though Trump is engaging and fascinating to watch you do stop looking at his targets and start really listening to what he’s actually saying from a political and policy position.....
Unfortunately I’ve been less impressed as he’s moved along....this didn’t help...but was not a surprise either.
Well said, that’s exactly where I’m at now.
In our system of government, it’s been established for over two hundred years that any law held to conflict with the Constitution by the Supreme Court is invalid. Laws limiting marriage to man/woman as opposed to woman/woman and man/man have been ruled by the Supreme Court to be in conflict with the Constitution, therefore they are invalid.
RESEARCH!!!
....” No one can predict the outcome of these dark days and perilous times”.....
Sure we can...it’s already been written of and pretty much following as written....we are just getting a taste....more will surely follow.
That does not mean we throw in the towel and run to the mountains...it does mean we should not only not be surprised as events and happenings such as this gals arrest occur but we continue to fight the good fight...with faith...as the two go hand in hand.
We should not either be surprised by peoples responses to happenings.....some are aware of the times some are not...so the responses will be dictated by what they know as well as what they don’t know.
In the end God will place over this country his appointed leader....none rise or fall without his hand in it.
Santorum?? With all due respect..
Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha....that's funny.
Huh>
Well tell me what effing law I can break?
Either you respect the rule of law or you don’t. If you break the law for whatever reason, you take the lumps. Kim Davis believes strongly the way she does. She is willing to go to jail for her belief. I respect that.
Yep.
I recommend people listen to what Trump actually said on MSNBC this morning regarding the Kim Davis matter, before drawing conclusions. It certainly is not as cut and dry as many of the headlines would have you believe.
And the Supreme Court (five of them) had to violate the Constitution, First and Tenth Amendments, to say that. This is tyranny. It is time for civil disobedience.
It’s certainly an egregious abuse of their judicial prerogatives, but that’s their right under our system.
PJ, by the time we get to the primary, you will be exhausted trying to defend Trumpisms...:-)
Do I really need to school you about all evils that have been done down through history because it was the law? Do I?
This is not new. He's already said this.
And I and others will object to their tyranny and defy it.
