Wisconsin DNR
MADISON The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has released nearly two dozen elk into the Jackson County woods in an effort to grow a second herd in the state.
Wisconsin has had only one elk herd, which roams Ashland County. The DNR wants to bring in 150 Kentucky elk to bolster the northern herd and create a Jackson County herd.
Keep killing the wolves.
convenient for the wolves in Necedah
hello, GEICO, you’re not going to believe this one.
Why? Are the elk being used to control some other population of flora?
Please add me to your ping list. Thanks.
Kentucky elk in Wisconsin? Won't the the other animals make fun of their accents?
I think wild life is wonderful....except they are not really “wild” if they are so carefully controlled by the govt...
The introduction of elk has been a huge success in Arkansas.

Elk have been successfully reintroduced to Pennsylvania. There is even a limited Elk hunt every year.
Creating herds implies male/female sexual reproduction. But isn’t that heteronormative of them? What about the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered elk? What about their rights and their lives????
The LGBT elk are being used by hunters as decoys. You'd be surprised at how viciously the hetero-elk respond to them. Easy pickin's while so distracted...
24 new elk released into Jackson County to establish a 2nd herd.
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
It’ll work here too. I wouldn’t mind an elk season
