My point is they go after a farmer or contractor for highering illegals why not big media?
In the meantime, free education, medication, housing, drivers license and more likely than not voting registration. Pobrecito.
Trump can take him for a ride in his helicopter. And hand him a parachute when they fly over the border.
translation: Bigmouthed illegal alien
UH? Was there anything in there that made sense that I missed?
Do they let him vote?
Bet there are a lot of illegals who wish they would have shut their big mouths when they thought they were going to intimidate the United States with mobs into granting amnesty for them.
“Self-deprecaton”? Really? Guess Vargas (or Bregman!) still hasn’t got his ESL certificate.
Kick Vargas out. Gotta start somewhere. LOL!
Who is Antonio Vargas and why should I care what she thinks?
Why is this A-hole still in the country?
Immigration authorities go after low hanging fruit out of the full glare of the public spotlight because there isn’t enough sympathy for what they do, or at least there hasn’t been until now.
A 12 year old who gets a travel visa to the US from the Philippines is not poor. Your family needs to have serious money in the bank to do that.
There’s a good bet his family has a nice estate with servants back home in the Philippines. He grew up in Mountain View, home for Google, and some of the most expensive real estate in the U.S.
This guy is no victim. His family pulled a scam and they probably live better than 90% of Americans.
He came legally on a travel visa to visit relatives (grandparents). Which requires big money in the bank to obtain.
The insanity of this. Vargas spent 22 years illegally in the U.S., 16 as an adult.
Vargas has not been roofing or hanging drywall for cash. He “came out” as an illegal in 2011.
Please, can someone answer the following:
Does Vargas have a driver’s license? He supposedly found out he was illegal at age 16 when he tried to apply for a driver’s license. If he does, it it valid? If not valid, or if he does not have one, does he ever drive a car?
How has Vargas been able to work for major companies like the Washington Post and the New York Times without documentation? What about since 2011?
How has Vargas been able to pay taxes? If he has failed to pay taxes, not that Obama has legalized him by fiat, has he paid back taxes?
Has Vargas ever attempted to, or succeeded at, registering to vote? If so, has he ever voted in an election in the U.S.?
How has Vargas been able to keep his Philippine passport current? Are consulates and embassies required to confirm the legal status of their citizens when they come in to renew their passports?
The problem with illegal immigration (even if you choose to call them “undocumented”), is they break not just the immigration law. They break employment law. They break tax law. They break traffic law. They have to be active, de facto outlaws to operate in society.
