Well to start with it’s unconstitutional. And the database would give the government all of the exact locations to go to if they ever did want to seize all the guns. And the fact that Canada, a country with 1/10 our population, gave up trying to build such a database after 15 years of repeated technical failures.
The Aurora shooter? Sandy Hook? Fort Hood, the Washington Navy Yard?
Were any of those repeat offenders?

And what, pray tell, do gun owners get out of this “deal”?
Litmus test: if I agree to this registration, searches, hearings, etc (all of which violate 2nd, 4th, and 5th Amendments), do I get to buy and open-carry a suppressed select-fire Glock 18 and M4 _without_ oppressive taxation/prohibition? Since I’ve submitted to any & all background checks, have all due paperwork, and by open carrying am announcing “nothing to hide”, can I carry _everywhere_? if not, would restrictive checkpoints to crowd venues provide storage upon request at no cost and without antagonism?

I agree. Even amongst gun owners I detect a difference in mentality regarding their accountability to government dependent on what state in the USA they’re from.
Met some shooting enthusiast in-laws in New York State and was pretty surprised at how they looked at firearms regulation. Typically, they were a bunch of trap shooting Elmer Fudds. We started talking more about Nevada gun regulations and they must have gotten the picture that it was like one big biker gang out here.

Now, being a Christian, Conservative, or Constitutionalist is Crazy, and we DO need to lock those up!
And we’ll need to start building more prisons.
I propose that for every gun I register, I have the right to buy a slave at 50 cents a pound. If we are going to throw away the constitution, it’s done at all levels.
Registration in Canada was required, what’d they get for their Billion dollars?
