The released emails are not damning enough. They are consistent with what we here are pretty sure happened—politicized, selective enforcement. However, the ones quoted in the article could have been written by lawyers, “waiting for guidance”, “backup”, “co-ordination of Cincinnati and DC.” They’ll claim it was just an organizational screw-up and these emails support it.

So far, the Dem/Administration lawyers will claim the evidence is circumstantial. What were IRS heads doing visiting the WH 100 times? Talking about basketball brackets? More likely, they were co-ordinating screwing up the funding of organizations active in the 2012 elections on the GOP side.
