Is Jeb 'caving' on Iran? Scott Walker stokes Republican friction over whether to unravel nuke deal on 'day one' in 2017 or let it simmer.
Jeb Bush and Scott Walker, the two calmest legs of the Republican Party's leading presidential triumvirate, are turning Iran into a vicious political primary footbal. The Wisconsin governor, Walker, is seizing on Bush's calm and unexcited approach to a nuclear deal reached last week by the Obama administration.
He has pledged to invalidate the bargain on the first day of his presidency. The former Florida governor with the more famous political surname has said a more resonsible approach would be to first asemble a cabinet and consult with U.S. allies.
During his July 13 campaign launch speech, Walker said he would 'terminate the bad deal with Iran on the very first day in office, put in place crippling sanctions and convince our allies to do the same.'
Four days later, after a national poll put the two close together near the top of the GOP field nationally with only the pesky Donald Trump as a fly in the ointment Bush threw cold water on Walker's eagerness.
'One thing that I wont do,' he told voters during a town hall event in Carson City, Nevada, 'is just say, as a candidate, "I'm going to tear up the agreement on the first day".'

Oh here we go. Just like every Republican swore on their mother’s grave that if elected they were going to repeal Obamacare. And now it’s the Iran nuke deal.
Yeah, sure. Okay.
Jeb’s a pander bear. He can’t get soft Dem votes by being harsh on Obama, just as he can’t get soft hispanic votes away from the dems without giving away the immigration store.
“He has pledged to invalidate the bargain on the first day of his presidency.”
Which will be totally impossible for him to do.
Jeb will “cave” on everything. Well, not exactly cave. As a prominent 1%-er, he has a World Order agenda. Let’s elect someone who doesn’t.
Walker is right. Jeb would calm a lot of us in to consulting which will result in many of us glowing in the dark, and contracting some vicious form of cancer.
That quickly became “repeal and replace” after the election. And even quicker than that, it turned into full funding for Obamacare no matter what.
The Bush legacy is to referee America’s decline.
We cannot blame everyone we sent to Washington to stop Obamacare. The blame primarily goes to Leadership. They pulled a fast one.
FUJB!!
How can this agreement be walked back? Executive Oder?
Are you thinking Jeb is going to be our next President? He is the only one hinting he would stay with the Iran agreement. Nobody else is.
----Which will be totally impossible for him to do.
Impossible to undo all the damage right away, but not at all impossible to void this administrative regulation, which is ALL this is. And of all the candidates, Scott easily has THE BEST record of following through.
Bush says "the impact of unilateral US sanctions will be limited"
To which Walker says "the rest of the world will follow(the US)"
There are two alternatives. Israel takes matters in its own hands and tries to destroy the facilities. Or, the Saudis and Turks start building their own bombs.
Despite this, Congress must refuse to approve this deal. It must be crystal clear that this is a Obama/Clinton/Democrat fiasco when Iran builds a bomb.
Jeb proves again, as with Common Core, as with so many other issues that he is his squishy father’s son and his social revolutionary mother’s son. ENOUGH!
The a$$ki$$ing Jeb Bush (really a weed?) supports the Iran nuc deal. BARF.
Jeb doing the bidding of James Baker.
