Folks, We tried warning people. They knew better. We were America haters.

Any man sharing a ticket with Romney is a liberal.

Now you know we were right.

Paul Ryan just stated on Fox and Friends that this deal everyone is up in arms over doesn’t even exist. I heard him say it, and on this thread you’ll find others who heard him say it.

That’s the source of the “doesn’t even exist”. Sorry.

And if that fails, HOLD YOUR NOSE AND PLUNK FOR THE DEMOCRAT! Can't be any worse and you can fix it 2 yrs. later. This situation is going to require multiple rounds of FIRE THE RINO before things can turn around.

That's not 'fire the RINO'. The republican arm of the uniparty will read that as 'they like the far left democrats, we must be even further left to get votes!'

Better to go to the poles, vote on the inititves, vote on the local judges and dog catchers, and write in "NONE OF THE ABOVE" in any RINO/democrat contest.

Don't vote for a leftist candidate no matter which team's jersey they happen to be wearing in public.

It's time to let the American people see those texts so they can determine if they want this "agreement": to move forward on Fast Track, or whether they want to require a 2/3 Senate majority to effect a formal, international treaty.

Of course the counter argument is that we should trust Congress and POTUS to do the right thing. Which side of that argument are you on?

It isn't a matter of trusting them to do the right thing - just being realistic. Every modern trade deal has been implemented as an executive-congressional agreement, as proposed for TPP. There are very practical reasons for this.

If you're against trade agreements so be it, and TPP may well be a bad deal for us, but I think this whole secrecy thing is a red herring.

A bipartisan group of lawmakers is calling for a change to House rules to require the administration to make all trade deals publicly available for 60 days before they could be approved using fast-track authority.
Isn't this what the vote is for first?

As I said, I will do more research but I also get concerned about divide and conquer from other side. So, I'm hoping that too much info out too fast and a lot of it's wrong.

These people are a joke.

The American people are the joke. There is not even a whimper of outrage. People just bitch on sites like this one. No action, no fixes. Don't count on the ballot box, it is what got you where you are.

This is not planning for D-Day, after all.

Nahhh, D-Day was the invasion and destruction of Nazi Germany.

This is the plan for the invasion and destruction of America.

It's more like ∆-Day.

∆ as in the math/engineering/physics symbol for "Change"...

I don’t care if trade deals don’t get done if they must be conducted in secret in order to get them done.

I’ve no love for past trade deals, which in my opinion, have not benefitted the USA. And, honestly, the revelations about this one AND the secrecy, make me want to kill this one now

Being against trade deals is fine, but then that should be the argument.

There isn't any way you could successfully conduct a high-stakes negotiation among 12 parties in public, so saying that's the only way that's acceptable is the same as saying you don't want any trade agrements.

They are so stupid they can’t find their butt with both hands and the lights on!

American citizens are the ones who are stupid. They let it happen. They think voting will help.

Actually the choices people made for lesser evil at the ballot box got them where they are. Remember, they DEMANDED we elect this guy. D E M A N D E D it.

Evil isn’t lesser is it.

Oh no, this is no joke this is Coup d’Etat.

I feel a glimmer of hope knowing that someone else gets it. South Americans take to the streets in protest, Americans bitch on web sites.

I’m not talking about IBM negotiating with Microsoft.

I’m talking about MY government negotiating trade in secret. I see reasons to negotiate defense, weaponry, black operations, etc., in secret.

I see great danger is allowing secrecy beyond that.

In other words, Ryan wants to vote to pass a secret bill that is not yet written. How is that logical? Mark Levin was discussing this yesterday; it is a hydra-headed monstrosity.

He isn't suggesting a vote on the TPP. That vote can only come after the text has been made public for 60 days.

He's lobbying for a vote on TPA, which only defines the process for approving the TPP (simple majority, no amendments, etc.).

I believe what Ryan is saying is the full completed document for vote on to pass, doesn't exist yet. Zero's draft probably does. Boy, this is crazy to follow. I wonder if it's intentional by some on left. Seems like new info is now coming out since yesterday. I still reserve doubt on both sides ;)
