His pitiful documentaries offend me.
I gave up on this asshat long ago. It seems that every “documentary” he produces MUST include serial plagarist Doris Kearns Goodwin.
They deserve each other.
It just pi#### me off that my tax dollars are supporting this crap on PBS.
There were two really bad things about his Civil War movie. First was the endlessly whining fiddles. Second was his incompetent treatment of Civil War medicine and surgery. All he did was bemoan the truly horrible fate of the wounded; he never really covered the medical procedures and the really great strides that were made.
I thought his documentary on Jazz was brilliant. I am saddened to find out where his head is really at.
