Horn, on the ground at gunpoint, the video obtained by WSB-TV shows. He also had plenty of time to lecture Horn about nearly becoming a victim as a team of police officers arrived.Good thing the cops didn't shoot the good guy. It's sometimes hard to tell who is who when the roll up.

Since the good guy was black, likely Sharpton would have accused the cops of jumping to conclusions.

Did you watch the video? The good guy is black. The bad guy is white. Or are you being sarcastic?

You know, if the white guy made even a single move, and the black guy popped a cap in his $$$, I don’t think that even a single old paunchy honky here would object even in the slightest.

An unarmed guy being shot in the back and you don't think some people here would object?
We have numerous threads dedicated to people objecting to exactly that.

When the policeman arrived the good guy put down his weapon and showed his hands to the officer. I think that is a smart move. Is that a normal practice for firearm safety?

How would have he known that he was unarmed? Frankly, I would expect a carjacker to be armed with something. That’s why police tell perps to show their hands slowly and to not move. They don’t like being shot for some reason.

You said if the guy made a single move, that he should be shot in the back.
Your comment reminds we of what that cop did to the guy in SC. My point stands.

And you know for certain (in the middle of a carjacking) that he isn’t laying on a gun under his shirt, right? This wasn’t a guy minding his own business walking down the street. My point also stands.

The guy in SC who was shot in the back while running away may have had a concealed gun. In fact he already tried to take the cop's taser.
Do you support that shorting, yes or no?

Clearly, if he would have been armed, that would have already been pretty obvious. And, I don’t recall anything about his immediate, red-handed commission of a violent crime*, either (unless a driving with a broken tail light is a felony in SC). Again, not applicable.
* by definition, carjacking IS a violent crime, even if the perp threatens the victim with a licorice whip.

Attacking a police officer and taking his taser is a violent crime as is trying to take a car from somebody.
You are making excuses for one of the perps but not for the other.
