I’m using those. Don’t know why I wrote 90 grain. LOL. Awesome little cartridge.
My only concern is that, after a self-defense shooting, an anti-2A DA might use the “killer ammo” against you with a grand jury for indictment, or in a courtroom during a trial, as some have done with customized firearms, ie Geissele and Timney Triggers. Saw a YT vid by Massad Ayoob which warned about doing “too much” to a CCW/CHL piece.
I use them so they don’t over penetrate and kill some innocent bystander. Other than that my semi auto carry pieces are pretty much stock.
Very, very nice round.
Haven’t tried the Civil Defense in anything but 9MM (Ruger LC9S). Never thought about how much total carry weight would be saved in a gun that normally carries as much lead as a .45.
I carry them in an XDS and it lightens thing up noticeably. I’ve run some through my stainless Commander, too and they function just fine. I swear you could use the cavity in the .45 for an ashtray.
May we never need to use them.
Best,
L
