They were AR-15's and I'm astounded a single man with a handgun could take out two men with semi auto rifles at the ready and already shooting.
He's the luckiest SOB that ever walked the planet.
Training, skill and guts. Plus luck. And I'm willing to bet the bad guys wilted like little cowards when someone started shooting back.

I would be fascinated by a detailed account of this encounter. Did he shoot center of mass or head shot? How many shots? How quickly did the muslims go down? How many shots did the muslims get off? What kind of cover did the traffic cop use?
There will be much to be learned from this.
