An officer and one other person were hospitalized following a shooting at Minneapolis-St.Paul International Airport Saturday night.
There was a report of suspicious individuals at the Terminal 1 rental car ramp on the second floor around 9:30 p.m., according to airport police.
Once officers arrived and began investigating, police said a vehicle intentionally drove at them, resulting in the officers opening fire on the vehicle.
Abdulkadir Sheikh Mahmoud, 36, was the driver of the vehicle and faces aggravated assault charges.
Mahmoud was hospitalized, along with one officer who reportedly had non-life threatening injuries.
The rental car ramp was reopened at around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday. Authorities say the incident was isolated and there is no threat to the airport.
The medical condition of Mahmoud has yet to be released.
At the request of the MSP Airport Police, the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident
Those darned Amish.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the warnings and supposedly ramped up security with TSA?
Where’s the obligatory statement that there is no link to terrorism?
Wouldn’t be surprised. For those of you who don’t know, MSP is basically across the interstate from the Mall of America.
To know the seriousness of the threat, look to see if the TSA is trumpeting it or not.
If they step up security but say nothing, something is going on.
If they release a press note, nothing happening outside of TSA justifying their existence through fake threats.
They’ve been REAL quiet about that.
Hope they got the license number of the getaway buggy.

Did not know that.
Hopefully the medical condition of Mahmoud is very critical.
Those rowdy Minnesota Scandinavians
This messed up stuff may start happening here in a big way. That will be very bad.
I suppose I could file it under: the worse the better, but no matter what depraved and evil deeds these jihadis do NOTHING seems evil enough to provoke what should be our correct response.
Star Tribune is reporting “Sheriff Rich Stanek said, At this time, we do not believe this case had any ties to any Homeland Security concern.
That’s coming from the Sheriff, not TSA or Homeland.

That’s why they’re always on edge over at the MOA.
Hmmm.....Minnesota?
The evening news seemed to indicate the threat was directed at police and military personnel in California.
Bet he’s Somali.
I can see you’ve been paying attention. You bear close watching. < /gov’t>
