It gets very confusing. I had to think a minute when I read “their sister, Kayla”, rather than “her sister, Kayla”. I can’t believe the press is going along with all of this nonsense when writing this stuff up.

I am guessing she wants to be a “they” because she’s both male and female? Plural pronoun for plural “identities”? I don’t know. I give up. I’m just glad I’ve more years behind me than ahead. Maranatha.

Unfortunately, the English language lacks a third-person singular neuter pronoun, except for “one”, and apparently people don’t like to use that.

I fear that it’s too late, and the idiotic usage of “they” as a singular pronoun is established. I know the language evolves, but I don’t have to like some of the ways it does.
