Sen. Rand Paul wasnt invited to speak at this weekends National Rifle Association annual convention because the Kentucky Republican is caught in the crossfire between competing gun-rights organizations.
Top NRA officials are unhappy that Mr. Paul has for years lent his name to fundraising solicitations for the National Association for Gun Rights, a group that fashions itself a more conservative alternative to NRA. Mr. Pauls aides have been told by the NRA he will be unwelcome to participate at NRA events as long as he remains affiliated with NAGR, according to people familiar with the conversation.
Publicly, the NRA chalked up Mr. Pauls absence from Nashville to scheduling concerns. The convention has a packed three-day schedule of political speeches at least nine other would-be 2016 presidential candidates are scheduled to appear, including former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and Sens. Ted Cruz of Texas and Marco Rubio of Florida. Indiana Gov. Mike Pence was on the schedule but cancelled this week. More In Election 2016

Well, Rand Paul has little to say that I want to hear...but he has more going for him than that ass Grover Norquist, whom the NRA leadership seems to think has our best interests in mind.
If they continue their association with the man (Norquist), I am seriously going to reconsider my Life Membership.
I already wrote the NRA, I won’t send another dime their way with Nordquist there...the man works for the Muzzies.
When your post ardent media supporters are faux conservative Joe Scarborough & the libtards at MSNBC like Chris Matthews, you might have a problem.
Well, when one espouses the 2nd A., while the other backs DEMS and ‘common sense gun control’ (IE: pays only lip service)...
No matter how many solicitations I may receive, they won’t get a penny from me for their duplicitous ways.

" This comes after an election year where the NRA endorsed several establishment types (like Mitch McConnell and Thad Cochran)
over conservatives with stronger records on guns,..
Meanwhile, Gun Owners of America A+ rated Rand Paul, who vowed to filibuster all gun control legislation in 2013,
and Sen. Mike Lee, who last month introduced a ban on all federal gun control, were left off the guest list. "
I understand that Sarah Palin declined an offer to attend
I know that previously , NRA financially supported "Dingey Harry" .. and to me that is an abomination !
This demonstrates NRA contributing to the very forces that would take our gun rights away, just to remain politically significant, totally ignoreing its fundamental constituants.
No more money to ignore my ' God given ' fundemantal rights !
So the NRA is telling Rand Paul that he should not be seen in public with a bunch of NAGRs? Just askin’.

I always question anything put out by NAGR or Dudley Brown.
Tom Gresham even knows this.
Palin also backed off on her speaking there.
Dudley is a loose cannon. Had to distance myself from RMGO.
