Crazy for Ted Cruz – Katie Glueck – POLITICO
South Carolina tea party activists love him, but is that enough in 2016?
This encompasses the strategies that both the left and the Gentry GOP will deploy against the man they fear more than any other, Senator Ted Cruz.
Note the seemingly nominal use of the words “crazy,” and “Tea Party.” This will be the left’s attack. He’s a crazed right-winger, just like his followers. Nothing gets the puppies of the left barking louder than a Pavlovian mention of “Tea Party.”
On the right, the strategy will be based on “Will it be enough?” And, of course, their answer will be no. They will claim Cruz can’t win, that his conservative base is too small to carry him, and that, as a consequence, we should run somebody more “electable.” A Romney, perhaps. Or a Bush. Or even a Christie.
The way that Cruz can defeat both arguments is to create a bandwagon effect, by winning in the early going, and then taking a couple of the big primaries. That would make him a winner, and his following “big enough.”
What about Perry's position on immigration do you not like?
had mine since last march. Get ‘em off the net. CRUZ CONTROL’16. Cruzing to Victory. The guy who attended his law classes! No community organizer.
we should run somebody more electable. A Romney, perhaps.

"I don't think you have a heart." -- Rick Perry to Mitt Romney, 2012 Presidential debate, after Romney noted illegals get in-state tuition discounts of approximately $22,000 per year.
We must say to every Texas child learning in a Texas classroom, We dont care where you come from, but where you are going, and we are going to do everything we can to help you get there. And that vision must include the children of undocumented workers. Thats why Texas took the national lead in allowing such deserving young minds to attend a Texas college at a resident rate. -- Rick Perry
Weve been dealing with them for lots of years. I dont know how youre going to deal with them otherwise. Youre not going to go round them up and send them back to their country of origin. - Rick Perry, July 2013
