Here's hoping the single-stack sub-sub-compact 9mm G43 is introduced. I might not be able to watch, so I'm hoping like-minded FReepers can capture the excitement for me.

Awright, people, auto-correct won. Obviously I meant “Glock” and don’t know how to change the title.

They have new Glocks that mount red-dot 'RMR'-type sights.
One of them is a long slide 10mm.

Harrington and Richardson have been making guns for a long time. I have two of them.

[G43 single-stack 9mm?] Don't hold your breath. The only way Glock can offer a single stack 9mm the size of the G42 is to make it in the U.S., and U.S. production is at capacity already.
The Glock 40 and the MOS modded G34, G35, and G41 can be successfully imported, so they can be made in Austria where there is excess production capacity.

The predicted G43 is nearly identical to the made-in-USA .380 G42. Given the demand for the former and the success (at least for competent manufacture and brisk demand) of the latter, methinks they’d switch the G42 line mostly over to making G43s, now that the production line is solid and demand would be far higher (possibly with greater markup).

I have got to get that Hello Kitty gun for my 6 year old granddaughter. Does it come in 9mm? I am afraid the kick of a 45 cal might be too much for her.

I guess you meant to say Glocks so I won`t rip on you, it depends on whether you like double action only weapons. I hate them and insist on a exposed hammer, double/single action in double stack mag. I just deal with the width issue in CCW, example: My current carry is the Bersa Thunder Plus, 15+1 double stack .380. I find it smallish enough to comfortably carry, it`s lite weight and slim enough, and while many deride the .380`s knock down power, I feel safe with it due to it`s firepower given two spare mags gives a total of 46 rounds.

If it works for you, great. I’ve spent a couple decades trying to really like carrying the double stack G26, but it’s just too thick for daily IWB carry. (OK, maybe _I’m_ too thick for IWB carry.) On the “the best one is the one you have”, coupled with the G42 being so gosh darned _cute_ (but it’s a .380), pack 9mm into that same format and I’m more likely to have it handy. Yeah, not as many rounds, but balancing capacity vs odds that’s what the G19 is for (any inkling of possible trouble). For many of us, double-stack just doesn’t get carried as much - and “much” is the first goal.
