"Just to keep it into perspective, I don't think we should imagine that the conditions and the threat are exactly the same in the United States as they are in France. They are different. In fact, one thing that is different here is weapons are universally available and so it is actually a very good thing that, that the tensions are not exactly the same because we would expect to have a lot more carnage," Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson said on the Friday broadcast of MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell Reports.

planes (thankyouverymuchautocorrect)
much as did the folks in boston a year or so ago.
Sadly, if this happened here and an armed citizen shot the muzzies he’d probably be arrested for murder. At the very least he would have his gun confiscated.
As for liberal enclaves, lots of liberals own guns so they jump on the “You don’t need a 50 round clip” band wagon. But 10 nine round clips are fine.
My palm hurts from facing it so much.
Behind every blade of grass.........
Yep. Robinson won the world stupidity record so many times Guinness took it off the books.
To be fair, what he actually was trying to say was that if the U.S. had banlieues - we don't - and if there were tensions in them as there are in France - there aren't - that there would likely be fighting with guns because we have more of them. Which is a little like saying if we had both Democrat and Republican unicorns, the Dems would poop more skittles. Thanks for the input, Gene.
Most of these jackwagons are “Known Wolves”.
In the USA, such an incident might not be a national story if a citizen hero properly used a gun to take down the terrorists.
No story in the MSM can ever imply that guns can be used for good.
Terrorists should get the same reception as Charles Whitman. The Boston bombing showed that not to be the case, at least not everywhere.
Perhaps, just perhaps the hostages killed today may be alive today had France armed their police.
The terrorist had a rocket propelled grenade you leftist puke. RPG. That was the big boom at the beginning of the massacre.
Well.... If the shooters would have been in NYC, LA, or other ‘enlightened’ liberal bastions/”Gun Free Zones”, the result would have been about the same.
If they’d tried this in a town where people carry weapons for protection, they would have come under fire from many directions within seconds, and probably would have been wounded or killed - and not gotten away.
Was this guy in a coma on the 11th of September 2001 and during the reaction since then?
I have a clamp-mount in my trunk holding a SS Mini-14 just for the unfortunate occasion this may happen... leftover habit thing from living in remote rural areas in my younger days. You know, next to the jumper cables, fold-up shovel and blanket. I hope it stays there, but I’m not going to be a helpless French policeman if something does happen.
“More carnage” = bad guys getting killed right off the bat.
“... perspective ...”
Really ..?? More like idiocy!
Rob McNeil said he trained with French Special Forces and they are the best. He was very impressed with their skills.
Which tells me: Our special forces are training the same way.
IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GUNS ..!!!!!!
