No point in voting for a center left republican. None!
Hope the GOP is reading this.
Well..precious few chances remain for the party to get their ducks in line. If 2016’s nominee is the same old, kiss it goodbye. Another 4 years of a Democrat in office and the court system will be completely lost among other areas.. It’s pretty close to that now what with the Supremes but we’d have a chance with a Bader retirement on our watch. The Fed Circuit is a mess and it would be nearly impossible to bring back. These last 6 years have seen the dismantling of more military leadership than I can remember ever. Secret Service? a joke. Treasury? A joke. I am trying my damnedest to have some optimism but this is one large crap sandwich we’re dealing with here...
Fixed.
He WAS.
As of July 2014, there are 34 distinct officially recognized political parties in the United States.
My standing before God is exactly WHY I would not cast a vote for Romney.
“Voting is a leadership function, and God WILL hold Christians accountable for the part they play.”
Who the heck are you to say what God will do or not do? You are sooo full of crap your eyes are turning brown. You are really into your self aren’t you?
I’ll believe when I see it. The uniparty has counted on conservatives to act like the battered wives of American politics for generations. It’s been a winning formula for them, and I would expect conservatives to continue to vote for whomever has the R after their name. Because “this time will be different.”
Second, I seriously doubt Levin will lead a revolt in any way, shape, or form. He is keenly aware of what side his bread is buttered on. While he might try to run to the head of the parade, any parade will be well under way before he joins it.
Sarah is more a question mark as she has always had third party sympathies and indeed her husband has a third party background. But she’s also relatively loyal.
Finally, keep in mind that the uniparty wins regardless of whether the rat or gop faction comes up on top on election night. So they really don’t give a damn if conservatives sit it out. Heads they win, tails we lose.
The situation that we’re in is reminiscent of the 1970’s in Mexico. The PRI ran Mexico as a one party system in both word and deed. The economy had to collapse in the 80’s for a second party to be able to actually challenge PRI’s hegemony. And its debatable as to whether PRI ever really lost control. Our uniparty has a depth and width of control that the PRI could have only dreamed of.
“I believe a Christian has a responsibility before Christ to vote. Every election. No matter how disagreeable the choice.”
Thank you for sharing what is simply your own opinion. As a Christian, I will continue to follow the Scriptures instead.
I'd rot in the gutters of hell before I'd do such a thing.
GOP be damned.
Of course, all should know, the GOP would rot in the gutters of hell before they would allow a Conservative nominee.
That's what we call irreconcilable differences. And that's why I plot endlessly on how to defeat the "Republican" in the race.
And it doesn't matter which race it is.
You say that now, but those GOPe guys would pick a conservative for VP. Then all is good. See 2008 and 2012.
“Decide whom you serve, and man up, and act accordingly.”
A Christian. And there is nothing whatsoever in the Gospels that could reasonably be interpreted as having a duty to select between two evils.
That’s one of the big reasons I will never vote for Jeb Bush.
I just cant vote for JeBush, Romney, Huck, or the Michelin Man.
That’s just all there is to it.
Never vote for a Bush. They’re democrats and actually worse.
If Palin walks, I walk.
“Is Jeb Bush pro-life?”
Someone who facilitates death by starvation and dehydration is not pro-life.
None of those 34 started in Congress.
Conservatives? NO. That would be K-street PARTY HACKS like yourself that have no problems voting for a liberal Democrat running as a Republican because to people like you, Party is god and is everything, Conservative Principles be damned.
Jeb, Christie, Romney, any Establishment pick will not garner a vote from Conservatives PERIOD. The GOP has proven it does not want Conservatives in it.
So we see your party as we do the Democrat Marxists. One and the Same.
It's really a matter of supreme indifference to me whether Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton is our next President if that is what it comes down to. The "Hillary" scare card doesn't work when the Republican alternatives peddles almost exactly the same policies under a thin sugarcoat of different rhetoric. Case in point: there really wasn't that much difference between the Clinton and the Bush Presidency on most matters of policy.
The GOP establishment's strategy has been one of moving to the Left while scaring conservatives into voting for them because they're the only alternative to liberal Democrats. They've pushed this game to the point that people are waking up to the fact that the only difference between the two is party affiliation.
