Did you know that "Kwanzaa," that made-up holiday celebrated from December 26 through January 1, was invented by Ron N. Everett, known today as Dr. Maulana (Swahili for "master teacher") Karenga? About Kwanzaa, Karenga said:
People think its African. But its not. I wanted to give black people a holiday of their own. So I came up with Kwanzaa. I said it was African because you know black people in this country wouldnt celebrate it if they knew it was American. Also, I put it around Christmas because I knew thats when a lot of bloods [blacks] would be partying!
Did you know that Karenga was a founder of "United Slaves", a group that was quite similar in philosophy to the Black Panthers? The two groups had different tactics, but often competed for the same potential recruits. So an altercation was inevitable. On January 17, 1969, at a Black Student Union meeting at UCLA, Black Panther Alprentice "Bunchy" Carter was heard making derogatory comments about Karenga. Carter was shot to death. The Black Panthers swear it was preplanned.
Or that Karenga was convicted in 1971 for torturing two women? He pressed a hot soldering iron against their faces and put their fingers in a vise in an effort to get them to offer up some nonexistent "crystals" of poison. It seems that the paranoid Karenga thought he was being poisoned. Nice guy, this Kwanzaa founder.
Or that in his book The Quotable Karenga, Karenga wrote "The sevenfold path of blackness is think black, talk black, act black, create black, buy black, vote black, and live black"? Is this the source of "seven," a number seen often in Kwanzaa? It certainly explains why he wanted a black holiday.

Made up holiday, like Rev. Al says he became a Rev. at age 3 years old, also made up.
We got to stop people from Calling The Emperor Rev. without a frock by a title he never earned.
Also, we got to contact our representatives to investigate why he hasn’t paid his taxes.
Side Note: I had a Black SSgt work for me - his folks had named him "Kwanza". All-round good guy and upstanding NCO and I never detected any sense of racial antipathy in him so I assume he was raised well so I haven't a clue as to the why of it.
So is Labor Day, Memorial Day, King Day, Presidents Day....
WE NEED A LITTLE KWANZAA
%%
Haul out the hoodies,
Put up your hands before the Press goes away.
Fill up your pockets-
They’ll run out of things so, hit the stores again now...
For we need a little Kwanzaa
Right this very minute
Candles in the window,
Christmas done begins it.
Yes, we need a little Kwanzaa
Right this very minute;
(It didnt catch on, but not to worry
Screw Santa - hey, were in a hurry)
So break through the windows,
Pick out the brightest bling & stuff youve ever seen.
Slice up the showcase-
Its time we grab some tinsel from those businesses now...
For weve grown a little meaner, grown a little colder
Grown a little madder - it’s OK with Holder
And we need a lot more anger, get a whole lot bolder-
We need a little Kwanzaa now!
Eh, so is Presidents day
It’s widely celebrated by white first grade teachers everywhere!
I once said “Happy Kwanzaa” to a black friend of mine as a joke, and he looked at me like I lost my mind.
Kwanzaa - A unique and sacred holiday celebrated solely by white, female elementary school teachers and local news anchorettes.
Yes, this is why I don’t like it. It was devised to keep people away from Christ. I once requested that I not be assigned a Kwanzaa cookbook to work on and got the stinkeye as if I were KKK.
As an entirely fabricated holiday, a phony, it’s a perfect match to the entirely made up human cardboard cutout occupying the White House.
I’d guess it was targeting people who weren’t paying Christ any mind anyway.
I didn’t even know a “cookbook” existed; I work with blacks (including Africans), and none of them “celebrate” it. Then again, they are working people like the rest of us...
Yes, and I believe he’s still Chair of the African Studies Department at California State University Long Beach. I can only imagine the hateful education those students are receiving.
no pictures of the Kwanzaa celebrations in Africa?
Cheers mate - you’ve just caused me to spit mullagatawny soup over the dog !
Seriously though, Kwanzaa !!!!??????
I’ve never heard such a load of old cobblers in all my life !
Is this anything to do with those Panthers ? Regardless, they should realize that all this black separateness creates more prejudice and antagonizes sensible people of all creeds.
There’s a cookbook for everything!
Don’t disparage this “holiday” to a white Liberal. They love it.
