Jeb Bush has quietly consulted former Republican presidential nominee John McCain about how to run for president without pandering to conservatives in a GOP primary, according to a new report.
The New York Times, in a story published Friday, examines the former Florida governors thinking on a possible campaign. The story notes that Bush seems to be leaning towards running, but has no desire to change some of his political positions to win over the partys base.
When former Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida quietly visited Senator John McCain in his Capitol Hill office this fall, discussion turned to a subject of increasing interest to Mr. Bush: how to run for president without pandering to the partys conservative base.

I just said to him, I think if you look back, despite the far rights complaints, it is the centrist that wins the nomination, Mr. McCain, an Arizona Republican, said he told Mr. Bush.
The two issues most commonly mentioned as potential problems for Bush with the base: immigration and Common Core. Bush has argued for a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants and has also supported the Common Core educational standards stances the GOP base vehemently opposes.

I will no longer pander to RINOs by voting for one - nor pretend they are anything other than Democrats...
What arrogance.
They are not popular with most Americans. Is Jeb going to try to win running against the American people?

Dear Jeb: There is an easy solution to your dilemma - just challenge Hillary for the Democrap nomination. No pandering required. Perfect.
Add my name to that list. If not for Sarah Palin, I would have voted for the Libertarian candidate. I have maintained all along that SP is the ONLY reason McCain didn’t come in third.
As for her endorsement of McCain for his last bid for reelection, I think she recognizes that, unlike democrats, we’re smart enough to see that for the political payback it was.
As many know, I always say vote for the republican against Hilary or Obama, etc.
However, I think these people (Jeb, McCain, etc.) are absolutely out of their minds viewing the Reagan Republicans and for that matter, the majority of American people, as a “problem”. For this preposterous attitude, they can go to hell.
What do they even have to offer a deeply troubled America, except more of the same? I think they are out of their minds.
Of course. That’s what Democrats do.
Crispy Cream has that sewn up...
Pathetic.
Yes please ask the Pres. McCain.. oh I’m sorry...
(with thanks to ghost busters..)
Get ready for the RINO judas goat cadre to ask why don’t you join the Democrat Party, tell you that you are voting for Democrats if you don’t vote for their RINO, and other such nicities, then.
Why did I vote for McCain ? Sarah Palin.
I voted the Palin/Whats his name ticket.
Ya, his insulting conservatives worked so well last time around... What a moron.
Moreover, McCain's 2008 campaign manager and GOP strategist Steve Schmidt felt or showed no such loyalty to Palin when we know it was she who brought in the conservative vote in 2008.
I think it would be great if Jebbie and Mutt both ran and beat each other bloody. And Ted Cruz crushes whoever wins.
But as long as I’m dreaming, I’d like a pony.
When I read the title, I thought this was from The Onion. Seriously.

I don’t take anyone seriously who remains on the Republican Plantation - living as a subservient conservative slave, yielding up his vote to “RINOMassa” every time it is asked for, but suffering a life of political subsistence. He hopes and prays each election cycle, actually believing the lies told to get his vote. He sits in political rags, feels betrayed, angry & miserable.
Such a lost soul means well, but is no different that Charlie Brown, believing Lucy each Fall as she tees up the football.
It is no wonder he turns on all who’ve already left the Plantation and live out freedom. No one likes to have their dreams invalidated. I remain free. I wish freedom for them.
All change starts with telling the truth - typically, first to yourself. I bid them well and encourage them to face up to the deep truth that we already have the exact crony-government-capitalist system that the Overlords prefer - and we sustain on the Plantation. To stay is to bow in submission and lie to ourselves that there will be change, if only we vote RINO.
I’m gone and free. Others can make their own call.

does Jeb need any help in this area?????
