I don’t disagree with that. However, lets not make it out to be something that it isn’t...
The fact is, that SS and Medicare taxes are higher than income taxes for most American workers. It’s about 15% including employee and employer contributions. Most Americans don’t pay anywhere near 10% of their gross in income tax.
