They got it all wrong: New data shows how Dems can win back America
Salon ^ | Anat Shenker-Osorio and Jeffrey Parcher

To everything there is a season and now is the time for election dissection. How do we reconcile an electorate that raised the minimum wage everywhere possible and opted for Republicans who profess not to believe in it? And what do we make of the – even for America – pathetically low turnout?

One-third of Americans struggle to make ends meet. That’s 106 million people who often don’t know how they’ll pay rent, get childcare or retire. Even in our fractious America, that’s a large group with shared interests – decent wages, reliable work hours, affordable child and health care, and the means to enable a livable last couple of decades.

Never mind the 99 percent, why don’t we see the bottom 33 percent rising up? They’re the ones with the sharpest ax to grind with our current economic policies. We know there are major structural and economic impediments to them organizing and voting, but are there other reasons they’re sitting on the political sidelines?

They do care. They care b/c they use them as props and patsies. All the while tellign them how they’re doing so much for them, while in reality everything they do keeps the poor, poor.

Not all republicans are republicans....
Some are democrats that HATE this republic..
but are registered as republicans..

NOT that they’ve given this much thought..

Correct, but never forget the other half of the equation: everything they do also keeps them living like royalty. That's their real motivation.

It’s their policies that are causing poverty. What an idiot.

That's 100% true, but don't expect many Democrat voters to figure it out.

“Pathetically low turnout”, maybe the low information voters realize after the Obamalaise that they really DON”T know which candidate or party has a better plan for this country and opted to sit out.

““Anat Shenker-Osorio?” There’s the real story.”

I had to Google “it” to see what “it” was. I was thinking more along the lines of a “lesion” that you get on your “johnson” when you fool around in the wrong part of town. From what I found on Google, I was essentially correct.

Even poor people are looking at the Democrats and seeing a panther-whiz poor deal.

The Democrats are Miss Daisy. They are looking for a chauffeur.

So....
More florid promises from the party of calculated deception

Didn’t they just find themselves on the wrong side of that bell curve?

The Dems have to figure out how to get WHITE VOTERS if they want to have a prayer in the South. They are now getting around 25% of them. And I’ll give them a hint: Taking guns, gay marriage, and playing the race card are probably not a good strategy. If this “white flight” moves northward, they’re FINISHED as a national party.

Oh yes, the Hispanics. If the Dems are going to write off White Voters (70% of the country, by the way), they better get Hispanics to replace them. Only problem is that Hispanics (outside of liberal strongholds) aren’t too hot about having their guns taken, gay marriage, and the race card. So they’re voting roughly 45% Republican in Texas and similar states...to put it another way, they’re barely doing the Democrats any favors. And that was after an election when border security was a top issue, with the Republicans wanting a secure border.

The only problem is Republicans are stupid enough to want to enfranchise millions of new Democratic voters.

They aren’t called the Stupid Party for nothing.

That is TOTALLY TRUE, unfortunately. If there is one takeaway from this election, it’s that Republicans CAN WIN Hispanic votes (at least outside of California and New York), without pandering to their leaders.

The problem is the Democrats don’t care about the working class. They care more about climate change, importing illegal aliens and raising health care premiums on every one than on creating new jobs, raising wages and improving America’s global competitiveness.

More precisely, Dems do not care about the WHITE working class. And the white working class is noticing.

Which demographic does illegal immigration harm the most? The working class, whose jobs they take.

Which demographic is most affected by the EPA driving more and more manufacturing jobs overseas? The working class.

Which demographic is seeing their jobs-with-health-benefits being terminated because of Obamacare expenses, and being forced to take multiple part-time jobs without benefits? The working class.

Any white working-class person who votes Dem now, is insane. More are waking up.

Doubling down on Grubering and promising more free stuff to the takers, combined with Boehner & McConnell’s constant attacks and betrayal of conservative Repubs will seal the deal.

“Dems know the ONLY chance they have in 2016 is letting all those illegal aliens vote..and they know those illegals will vote Democrat..you have 20+ million illegals voting Democrat, yeah they would pretty much be in power forever”

Not so fast there. Loom at it this way. If it is 20 million illegals, the majority in blue states, the electoral vote won’t change much.

The dems are working out the Cloward-Piven strategy as fast as they can accomplish it with the clueless republicants. These articles about voting demographics and strategies to win back voters are just the fluff spewed out to obscure the real agenda.

Agitprop

Key words:

... How do we reconcile an electorate ... One-third of Americans struggle ...pay rent, get childcare or retire. ... decent wages, reliable work hours, affordable child and health care, and the means to enable a livable last couple of decades...99 percent, ... the bottom 33 percent ...with the sharpest ax to grind with our current economic policies...impediments to them organizing and voting...

This is right out of the old commie playbook.
