Seventeen states, led by Texas Attorney General and Governor-elect Greg Abbott, are suing the Obama administration over the president's recent executive actions on immigration.
In a statement, Abbott said the president's unilateral action to offer deportation relief to millions of undocumented immigrants "tramples the U.S. Constitution's Take Care Clause and federal law."
The coalition of states involved in the suit includes: Alabama, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Gregg Abbott is a fighter. It has to be a state because the Scotus has original jurisdiction on issues involving states.

Excellent! I’m glad to see this, and I wish that 33 more states would join. I had hoped some governors would stand up and challenge this.
These states are being invaded, and the president is aiding the invaders.
I’d give Florida a hard time, but I’m planted in California.

He was a tough SOB as DA and now he will be tougher as Governor.
I love the guy! Since I have been in Texas I have 2 solid “wins” — Cruz and Abbott. And a bunch of other smaller good wins as well.

The Congressional GOP is weak — in spite of their cheap talk. The govs have the cajones. The voters gave the GOP a mandate. Don’t hold any breath.

After destroying the best health care system in the world, Obama is determined to grant wide amnesty to foreigners living illegally in U.S. If Obama wants to make the U.S. into another banana republic, it seems he is well underway to reaching his goal.
The Republicans must make it perfectly clear that Obama has declared a merciless war against the American workers and the middle class of America. There are 92 million of able Americans out of the work force because they cannot find employment and Obama wants to legalize and give work permits to over 11 million illegal aliens allowing them to bring here the rest of their families. In other words, another 25 or 30 million that either will compete with Americans and legal immigrants searching for scarce jobs or are going to be added to welfare, bankrupting Medicaid and the food stamp system as well as ruining even more the quality of the public schools with the massive infuse of hundreds of thousands of children without speaking English to already overburdened schools systems.

Obama had super majority in both cameras during the first two years of his presidency, but he didn’t give the amnesty during his first 100 days as he promised to those living illegally in the country… Furthermore, as senator, Obama opposed George W Bush when the republicans tried to give a legal status to those living illegally in U.S.
