Chris Christie Gives Appointments to Former Harry Reid, Rahm Emanuel Aides
National Journal ^ | December 2, 2014 | Shane Goldmacher

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie announced a pair of unusual appointments on Tuesday, adding two prominent Democrats to the governing body of Rutgers University, including a former chief of staff to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Christie added both Susan McCue, Reid's former top aide, and Mark Angelson, a former deputy mayor in Chicago under Mayor Rahm Emanuel, to the Rutgers Board of Governors. Neither of them currently lives in New Jersey; both are graduates of the university.

The McCue appointment is particularly intriguing as she worked for a super PAC that spent millions to try to keep New Jersey's Legislature in Democratic hands in 2013, the same year that Christie won reelection. She was also the cochair of Senate Majority PAC, the main super PAC that fought unsuccessfully to keep Reid as majority leader, and she sits on the board of American Bridge 21st Century, a Democratic research firm that has targeted Christie.

Christie is openly considering a run for the White House in 2016 but faces concerns from the Republican base both for some of his policy positions and for his embrace of President Obama days before the 2012 election during Superstorm Sandy.

Both nominations must still be confirmed by the New Jersey state Senate.

The GOP official responsible for getting republican gubernatorial candidates elected in 2014. He secretly backed Cuomo for reelection and only claimed he was in favor of Asterino a day or two before election day. Fat Phoney RINO POS.

The GOPe needs to GO!

Ever wonder why we NEVER get ahead politically and culturally in this country?

Exhibit A: “Republican” Chris Christie appointing hard core leftists that could have easily been filled by Republican appointees.

Basically, Christie has credentialed these guys for life! Forevermore they get to put “Trustee of Rutgers University” on their resume or to use on their credentials.

Why would you do this? Why would you not set up good Republicans and help move them into such positions of influence?

Some of Christies big backers are some New York GOP money bags who are also supporting Cuomo in NY, so other synergies of interest and influence between Christie and Liberal Dims is not surprising.

I think what folks really reject is the notion that the democrats infiltrated the republican party.

Ronald Reagan said that it would be silly to give over the party to moderates (paraphrase). He was the last great conservative of the republican party.

John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConnell, Chris Christie, Jeb Bush, Mitt Romney...are these conservatives? NO!

The republican party has lost it's way. It has become the party of big government republicans, globalist who thirst for power to lord over others.

The democrats....well, they are all freakin nuts. They do everything that is contrary to logic.

Nancy Pelosi saying, “you have to pass the bill to find out what's in the bill”. Seriously? Harry Reid, Sheila Jackson Lee, Schumer...on and on and on. They just hate America.

Chris Christie (D)
He never was a republican. He just used the (R) to get elected then stab the voters in the front and back.
