Downtown Detroit doesn’t get all the power from one place. You can have 3 buildings in a row without power, then 2 with power followed by another without. The same set of buildings lost power last summer due to a substation fire. This one is the municipal power service.
Comerica park, Ford Field buy their power from DTE and have their own substations.
Amazing.
I dont wish anyone the loss of electric power...with the possible exception of the Whitehouse...and a couple of other prime locations.
