Then the correct solution is to take our destiny in our hands and change the way we see it. We are either passive, in which case why care at all, or we are not, in which case we need to fight every inch of the way for what’s right.
It’s a waste of political capital, looks like revenge, and accomplishes little for the people who voted these folks in to take all those liberals places.
Better to pass bills that are going to actually help people, roll back the damage, and help get new Republicans elected.
There’s nothing in the Constitution that says you have to have the votes in the Senate before you can impeach. Impeachment has power in its own right. It is the right thing to do and then it’s in the Senate’s court. Stop counting Senate votes before it happens. Make them vote. If you don’t, you’re letting them off without putting their necks on the line.
I will say that I lean farther in your direction that I do Norm’s, but I’m not here to make a definitive declaration about what we should or shouldn’t do.
I have mixed thoughts on it.

The gutless old party would welcome an impeachment dog and pony show, so when it predictably fails they can wring their hands and claim they tried. Then it’s off to the cocktail parties.
If Congress were doing their jobs in the first place this POSOTUS would not have slithered anywhere near the seat of power. The dragon gave him his seat and authority thanks to a lawless Congress, lawless USSC, and lawless voters and lawless ballot stuffers.
All that said, the Dapper Don of DC needs to be held accountable regardless of the dimwittery and corruption of the craven culture of Congress.
I know. We are on the same side here but I just want you to see that we have a choice. We do not have to simply go quietly into the long night.

I think they are reasoned. Perhaps it’s because I’ve been down this road so many times, I just don’t trust anyone to set things right anymore.

It is because I don’t trust any of them that I push so hard. They have to be beaten into doing the right thing because we cannot trust them to do it on their own.

Action and consequence.
Barry has taken numerous highly unconstitutional actions, ignoring the law of the land. The Founders put in place a specific remedy for a president doing that. Impeachment. If we honor the law of the land, we impeach. If we do not, we are no different than Barry ignoring the law of the land.
Period.
There is no excuse. There is no rationalization. There is no win lose. There is either adherence to our laws or our country is a meaningless ‘thing’ with no value.
So you wouldn’t prosecute someone for committing a crime unless you knew how the jury was going to vote?
It is a tool that our founding fathers gave to us. It’s the right thing to do & the duty of our Congress. If we will not impeach Obama we will never impeach ANY president so take it out off the table permanently. We are in a very serious crises and you use any tool in the toolbox available to you to end this peacefully. You don’t retreat before you even start the battle.
Sitting by and doing nothing while this lawlessness and tyranny continues unabated is giving passive permission for Obama to continue and will guarantee a non-peaceful resolution sometime in the future.

They either follow the law or they are removed via recall, donations end, They get mocked at every appearance, They are actively opposed by making trouble for their donors.

It makes a LOT MORE SENSE to impeach the president over a policy choice that BYPASSES CONGRESS and floods the country with Illegals than it ever made to impeach over Benghazi, F&F, or his birth certificate.
Impeaching here will FORCE the DEMOCRATS to take a stand on this stunt, and that is the VERY LAST THING they want to have to do. The Dems CANNOT write this one off as a “sex scandal”.
