The office of Georgia's Secretary of State confirmed Tuesday that its website has been experiencing intermittent problems on Election Day.
A website that provides poll location information was showing an error message earlier Tuesday.
"We are experiencing difficulties with [our website]. Our IT folks are working on it. We're throwing resources at it to solve the problem," Jared Thomas, chief of staff and press secretary for the office, told CNN.

They’ve decided to only count every other Republican vote to make it fair for those who are disenfranchised because they didn’t get out of bed to vote yet.
In my SE GA polling location everything was just fine.
Had to show my driver’s license 3 times at 3 separate tables to 3 different people.
1. To fill out voter card. Name checked to License, Address, and Photo.
2. To check the printed out registered voter book. Name checked to License, Address, and Photo.
3. To get my electronic machine card to vote. Name checked to License, Address, and Photo.
I liked that.
Well the only solution to the problem is to have a court order polls to remain open until midnight in all high-population precincts.
I only had to show it twice since steps 2 and 3 were performed by the same person.
I’m in Columbus. Only had to show it once for early voting. That’s once more than in CT, IL or (usually) WI.
I don’t have to show ID but I do so to make a vicious point.
I dunno... I’m scanning all the anecdotes on FR today and many are noting an unusual turnout of the over-60 crowd. Maybe those four million who stayed home in ‘12 aren’t doing it again.
Well here ya go.
Early this morning Mr GG2 went to vote at St Pats on Beaver Ruin Rd. He gets in line and this lady is standing near the door talking to voters. Mr GG2 confronts her and she says she is with CNN so he asks if she has press credentials with her. No she has none she says. So he informs her she is in violation of election law and needs to be 150 ft from the door. She says “they” told me it was OK.
So now Mr. GG2 goes inside and starts complaining to the poll workers about it. They say they have to make a phone call about it. One hour later the in-laws go to vote and she’s still there.
So now I’ve call the SOS’s office and am waiting for a call back and have filled out an online report.
The woman is obviously not with CNN so our question is who is she and who is “they” who said it was OK for her to be talking to people about God knows what outside the door of the poll.
Apparently its neverending.
I believe you may have something there. Dekalb and Fulton Counties have a small history of that, don’t they?
“Voting irregularities.”
Code for voting machines rigged to register Republican votes as votes for Democrat candidates.
And, by the way, it’s not “irregularities,” it’s quite intentional.
And, by the way, it’s happening all over the United States.
I think the machines should take a picture of the final vote before the voter “casts” their vote and a copy be provided to the voter and to the State elections people. That way there can be a two way check of how the votes were counted. Another step should be that the voter is given a number that can be compared online to the final vote tallies to be sure his votes were cast as intended. As it is now we have to place too much trust in our government being honest.
All was well at Seven am here in Savannah. Got in, got carded, voted and got out.
I vote in the same place that my parents voted in, and I have voted in since I was 18. It’s actually kind of nice for the continuity.
