I knew a guy who got ‘geographic tongue’ from smoking pot. The pot dried out his mouth and messed up the ‘ecology’ of the tongue, which became covered with a white, furry coating. Marijuana is like anything else - a mixture of good and bad. I suspect there is a lot of good yet to be discovered in the marijuana plant.

Your story illustrates the main problem behind all this, dry mouth, which causes accelerated dental problems.

Dry mouth is mentioned in the linked article, and is a symptom of Sjogren’s disease also.

If you have dry mouth (not from smoking) consider the possibility that you may have Sjogren’s
