Ozark Regional Health in Arkansas is under lockdown because it has a patient that may have the Ebola virus.
The lockdown went into effect on Thursday afternoon.
The hospital in Clinton is checking one patient for the virus due to the patients travel history.
One in CT too. Yale students returning from Ebolaville.
This hospital is 35 miles from me. I bet their infectious control mechanism is to close the door and put “back in 5 minutes” sticky note on the front door.
I know that hospital! My daughter was born there! Near my wife’s family farm.
I was planning on making a trip down there to check over the overgrown property as it is still owned by the family but I may just wait till next year.
Patient has been cleared per local TV station (KATV)
A town in Arkansas called Clinton ?
Cleared already? Didn’t it take 3 days to clear the last one?
I thought “Clinton Lockdown” meant Bill was prowling the premises for interns?

Patient has been cleared...

Must be the patient only had a low grade fever.
Early tests can be negative. Not enough virus for detection or some such. Dr. Brantly’s first test was negative too. It was 72 hr. test which came back positive.
This has been a problem in Africa, where the people were released due to false negatives and were free to infect others.
From what I gather, the lockdown was triggered by the patient’s recent travel, not due to symptoms.
(assuming we're still around )^:
Dude, please stop killing the threads with all of those graphics over and over and over. Some of us are on mobile and don’t appreciate you adding 1.3MB to our browsing. Link this to your home page.
Sorry, I have a four year old HP, and it takes seconds to load.
I will back off.
Thanks for the feed back.
