Dr. Rick Sacra, of Holden, who doctors said was successfully treated for Ebola at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, was admitted to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester Saturday morning with a respiratory illness.
Doctors do not think it likely that Sacra, who has been suffering from a persistent cough and low-grade fever for several days, has suffered a relapse of Ebola.

Bear in mind those people are in the most backward parts of the world. They did not get very good care and making it at all was a miracle there. Making it out good and healthy is a very small chance with such cruddy conditions.
Also not that Strep throat is a killer. Influenza is a killer. If the care is good, though, and accessed, it is highly unlikely to kill, or even damage one permanently.
