Earlier, we told you about the enormous fail that is the #IAmARepublican hashtag campaign, and the equally enormous fail of an ad campaign to which it was pegged. As crummy as the Republicans Are People Too ad is, you would think that at a minimum, it would feature actual people who are actual Republicans. You would be wrong.
Lots of ads use stock photos, of course, but if you are trying to court a group of people you have been aggressively ignoring as a matter of political strategy, you might want to think about finding a real person to be in your ad. Also, if youre going to include a slide that says, in the plural, Republicans are black, then you should probably make at least one other person in the rest of your ad black. Alas, that sole honor fell to this attractive, young, apparently Republican woman:

I do know that if I was writing an article about a "Republican campaign" I would identify the specific organization that is actually funding it.
Still, they did a solid job nailing down the stupidity of the campaign. The "black Republican" woman pictured is a lame stock photo, appearing in a dozen or so other ads. The sheer laziness of the ad creator's effort is aggravating.
Really, if you're going to do a campaign about black Republicans, can you actually find a legit black Republican please?
Like you said, you don’t know the website. . .and it is more plausable that the campaign is a liberal set-up to embarass republicans because idiots will fall for the name, even though the name is not actually who they say they are.
Rare as hen's teeth they are...
Still, pretty damned lazy Ad creator. He'd have been better off showing a photo of Martin Luther King.

Well, I'm here (though I'm feeling less and less of a 'Republican' these days).
Thomas Sowell, Condalezza Rice, Herman Cain, Allen West, Ben Carson, etc.
You forgot Mia Love.
Who cares if a left wing blog. They completely nail the abject incompetence of the GOPe.
Good point about it maybe being a trick. After all wasn’t zuckerburg calling his pro-illegals organization conservative something or other?
We always have to remember liberals are a lot like Jihadis, they will try to rationalize anything, lies, violence, murder etc as long as it furthers their zealot agenda.
The only thing that keeps me registered as a 'Republican' is laziness to go through the trouble and re-register as an Independent, or something. I'd hazard a guess that three-quarters of our 'Republican' Senators and Representatives are really Democrats who need to pretend otherwise to get elected in their districts. They will say the right things come election time -- but they continue to vote for larger and more intrusive government.
I agree with you, but in (a weak) defense of our Republican reps, I'd say that most aren't even aware that they're essentially Democrats. I don't believe most of them have a solid enough core to even notice that their votes run counter to the majority of conservative ideals.
Now you’ve gone and insulted the GOPe wing of FReerepublic. You’ll never be allowed in Kansas without a ‘Harumph!’ now!

Star Parker.
I’m with you on that. Conservative Constitutionalist? YUP. Republican? Only nominally...
Star Parker
Here is St. Louis County, the much of the black dem leadership turned on the white dem challenger for County Exec and went public with their support of the white Republican.
Why? Because the white dem wouldn’t denounce the duly elected white dem prosecuting attorney in the Wilson/Brown case.
Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.
“Conservative” cause. Not Republican... :)
“and it is more plausable that the campaign is a liberal set-up to embarass republicans”
It MIGHT be more plausible, if the republicans did not have such a long history of embarrassing themselves.
That woman isn’t black?
I feel exactly the same way. Sad comment on the state of our party, isn't it?
